I read it that the new multi-year contracts' revenue will show up in the FY25 accounts rather than in FY24.

The numbers just don't add up. The short position at 1.83% is more than 90m shares. Even on the 4th Jan when the share price plunged, just over 67m shares were traded. And since then the daily average has been around 10m. Confused!

Share buyback programme was to purchase £50m worth of shares. That figure must have been reached. See RNS 15th December 2023.

Capital reduction

From the RNS: 'The Company announces that it will in due course be posting a circular to shareholders in connection with a proposed capital reduction of £605.4m. This change will result in £605.4m cancellation of the Company's share premium account and the creation of distributable reserves of the same amount.' Can anyone please explain what this means?

HL give you the option to transfer the funds from income account (where the divi is paid into) to your capital account on the day that it is credited so you can reinvest as you like.

The divis are credited to your income account on the payment date. You can transfer the balance of any divis you receive from your income account to your capital account anytime you choose, so you can re-invest the money.

When I was looking for a trading platform to use, on reading the T&C, I saw that many platforms reserve the right to lend your shares out . Degiro was one such platform but they also gave you the choice. If you opted to not have your shares lent out, the charges were considerably higher .
