A similar idea really (LW). One can’t really have a hard and fast plan as situations are fluid.

For example random massive £55k buys could start appearing. That is a massive buy…

I know that’s my strategy, I wonder if it’s yours, LW.

2 other companies we both hold are doing well. I have a holding here but plan to move profits from those companies here in anticipation of better gold pours in H2. However I wouldn’t want to sell any just yet.

For me, the delay here in mining pit 1 potentially works out rather well…

So they are drilling deeper … have they learnt from phase 1 that they should have kept going and drilled deeper as they hadn’t hit the extremity or the ore body?… ie the results could have been better??

The problem is that they’ve banged on for so long about 1000oz and never hit it. Hence we get some posts that featured earlier today waiting to jump on the news and shout ‘but it’s not 1000oz, it’s a disgrace’

Communication could be better - by a mile- in stating clearly that the gold pours are not hitting 1000oz due to the grade of pit 2 (and stating the grade) and laying out a timeframe for when they expect to be nearing 1000oz based on pit 1 grades (ie we anticipate our first gold pour from the improved pit 1 grades in June).

But then if they state that they’ve made a rod for their own back.

There is always the chance that whilst the grade from pit 1 is better the initial grades are not 1g/t but poorer and improve with depth…

Ho hum.

If you believe improved grades from pit 1 are the answer but, wait and sit tight as this is badly undervalued. If you don’t then look elsewhere.

Another 1p and we are at our previous high of the 14th Feb…. New high by the end of the week?

Either someone wants in cheap -OR- can’t understand mining operations change due to circumstances. We all expected this and if you didn’t and are shocked then don’t invest in a miner.

In some ways this suits me; I won’t buy more now but wait for additional profits from other shares I hold to be realised over the next 1-2 months (knowing next months update is still pit 2 gold)

The negatives - no Feb Gold pour.

The positives

- 1100oz gold dore poured the last 3 months when they only achieved 1350oz (Troy I think) in the first 6 months last year.

- the gold pour is from pit 2 and we are told the gold grades are poor at the end of the oxide deposit

- they are expanding HL pad 5 meaning more HL volume (more gold)

- HL rates have improved

- they expect to start mining pit 1 and improved gold grades this month

I expected this bump in the road due to the poor grades of pit 2.

Looking forward what is leaching now is pit 2 gold and poor grades. I think a poster (Paul I think) reposted a RNS about HL times suggesting a month between stacking and leaching being complete. So next months gold pour STILL PIT 2 AND LOW GRADE.

Really we are looking at May / June numbers to see if the improved gold grade is as expected.

Nevertheless (and has been said) the improved priced of gold gives us headroom

Without knowing the workflow at the labs it’s hard to know -but- based on timescales of the last results my guess is next week or the week after for assay results…

Well this ‘amateur’ sold ARCM at 4p and re bought 1.4p. Im in profit and hold nearly 3times as many shares as before.

Really quite amateur behaviour on my part.

Certainly looks like the pullback from the start of Feb is over … onwards and upwards

To echo that point, LW. When I bought OMI I had the decision to buy GGP or buy OMI.

GGP I saw as the safe choice and bound to do well.

OMI I saw as the risky choice. The drill results have been exceptional and I expect more of the same from Pepas2. On that basis OMI is now lesss risky - still more of a risk than GGP - but less risky than when I bought OMI will outperform GGP (IMO). And easily outperform Soveriegn.

So pit 2 nearing completion of oxides, and we know the grade was dropping off as they exhausted pit 2. That will be why there’s no RNS on a gold pour, as Legalwolf stated comms managed in the interests of the company.

The only question is have they started to mine pit 1 or do they exhaust pit 2 first? I was hoping we were done with pit 2.

Moving on to heap leach pads. At the start of last year they had 3 (110m) HL pads. They now have 5 and pads 4 and 5 can be extended. Pad 5 is being extended (150m). Assuming pad 4 is also extended then this is 90% more volume of HL capability than the start of last year. This in addition with the better grades of pit 1 is very encouraging.

We just need to have patience.

I won’t be rethinking my position even if there is Jo update next week, with the various posts by HarChris and BBN showing the strong case for buying here I’ll remain invested.

It did look to me like the last few months had started a trend in monthly reporting and that was another factor in buying in - good communication with shareholders. Perhaps Emma thinks doing that interview was enough for this month? ….
