Because they had the sense either to get out, or better, short it. That message can only be considered altruistic if you act the same. Fatal, I'm fully certain that Star was genuine, and did not intend to mislead you. He's saying you've bought shares at .14, and by taking up the open offer at 1:34, you'll bring your average down to .13, but that repeated past history shows that there will be so many shares on the market that in time you will be able to buy very close to .10.

In fact, history shows that due to the payments paid to the bucket shops to manage the placing, they actually get the shares at less than the placing price, and hence will ultimately be happy to offload at .10. It won't happen in the first week or three, but very soon after that, it will.

You might get lucky in being to offload your shares at .13 if, in effort to move on more shares the company then puts out some spin - past history shows you might get a week to offload your shares before it then dips back to or below the placing price.

The good thing is that if you buy at 0.14 you can buy 2.5 times more at 0.10 40% discount.

It's a sell, it's simply london south east/advfn's rubbish reporting algo. Can see it's a sell from the spread. FWIW, it's also reported as a sell on quotestream (more reliable algo).

I think we all know there may be capital raises and that this is now a 18 month play. The only downside I see at these low numbers is that every month we have to endure the patronage of a certain poster.

Gibbo, I agree that those who remained invested for the duration of the P1 made the choice to take an outside gamble. (I took my chips off the table between 3-3.5p). Nevertheless, the BOD played the game of being fully, fully, fully several times, and even in the final raise it was clear that they were $7-10m short to cover PI, T&T, renewed licences and opex. This was pointed out several times on this board but was shouted down.

The question of the initial gap, plus the then question of indebtedness for the P1 issues, was also raised on this board, and it pointed out that the OO would be used to pay off debts. Few seem to listen, and we were shouted down.

Whilst it is down to PIs to do their own DD, you cannot hide from the fact this BOD has been anything other than transparent when Potter and Koot were at the helm. The only saving grace now is that there does seem to be more transparency about.

Small top up for me today, and if we go down into the 60s should Ginny come up dry, I'll be adding again. A risk, I know, but out of the 3 wells to date, the big one came in as having real potential, so I'm looking at 18 mths here. And if another drill comes in, in the meantime, and I can turn a trade on these prices then I'll do that as well.
