That being the case, it's concerning that we are still dropping. Needs a company response today, not that I expect this will stop the SP from being in the low 2s.

Actually, Des's price was around 145p or when it closed that day. I remember it 'well' as it was one of those lucky ones - me and a mate decided to close our positions within minutes of the Friday bell.

Telemachus, yes the 1m dumps (which I also observed) were likely bucket shop flips. The rns was likely put out to support this additional off-loading of bucket shop shares, as time is running out to shift them onto PIs - none of these shops would want to have these shares on hand close to the spud date.

Fatal, I simply cannot believe as a LTH you were labouring under the impression that this was other than an exploratory drill. How on earth can it be any other when the drill bit has not been put in the ground yet? And where has it ever been stated as anthing other? I sorry, I don't mean to offend, honestly I don't, but have you sold a bunch of shares and now looking to get in cheaper? Because otherwise, I find your comment really, really odd.

Have to admit the drop is quite surprising, and I still think it must reflect the sales book still being worked through, causing a herd mentality to book profits. And nothing wrong with that - I've been selling since 2.95 but had the good fortune to do a couple of positive small trades in-between, selling at 3.35 yesterday (a lucky trade). Have to admit though, this is some drop and I don't trust there not to be another RNS around the corner that is less palatable (perhaps on the CERP side of things?)

I did have a fill order in at 3.11, but think I will now sit tight on the remainder of what I have and wait for the froth to settle and see if we get a dirty CERP RNS this week.

Most reasonable explanation
1. RNS released to help shift the placing overhang
2. The bucket shops that bought the placing sold into the rise and the aftermath
3. PIs saw the opp of a quick profit melting away before their eyes so looked to bank.

We will see another rise before the spud, almost assuredly so. But how much, beyound 3.50-80 will depend on what's left of the overhang. I'm tempted to buy back some of those sold to this point if this gets near 3.1p to buy, as I think there's legs left in it yet.

The best level 2 console out there for PIs is Quotestream. It's pricey though, at around 40 quid a month direct, or you can get it at a reduced price, around 23 quid, if you have an interactive investment account (Itself a tenner a month, but which you can offset against your trading costs). LSE's console is really crappy, stylistically and functionally. (For example, you can display L2 for more than one share on a page at a time, which is pretty rubbish. Also, stylistically, it's really naff). Note also, Level 2 information isn't always insightful as you still only get a limited view of the book, but it can show you intraday trends, particularly useful when trading certain stocks or assets. Never found it particularly useful for trading bpc.

Plutus. Nail on head. The 'institutional' investors are simply flippers. There would seem no other reason to provide the update other than to clear out the overhang to what was a very large placement. In terms of SP going forward, this could be a good thing, IF it gets the overhang out of the way. But we are beginning to run out of time a bit now for PI money to make an impact.

The main risks are that the company come back to ask for more money or have chosen to take up available finance, or that covid comes back to impact. It's also the case that the market capitalization of the share is arguably already overpriced, but that fact tends to get lost in the frenzy. The surest strategy is to add as you go and always, always, take profits as you go. Note also, we can't be sure that all of the last dilution has worked through - the market makers could be making hay here until the current level of takers has dried up. There is still a good amount of risk here, so go carefully.
