Look at Calibre for Inspiration13 Apr 2023 13:08
It seems highly likely,as one would expect, that one of the 2 TSX companies that have entered the bidding process is our neighbour Calibre. Mark’s reaction when questioned on this was interesting. But I think it is useful to compare the share prices of CNR and Calibre to see where CNR’s sp should be if it was tracking Calibre.
When Joe “Black& Tan” Biden (who is currently touring Ireland for votes) decided for electioneering purposes to announce sanctions against some senior Nicaraguans CNR’s sp was 31p. In the following days it plunged as did Calibre and the other Nicaraguan miners. It has taken CNR 5 months to recover to the sp it had when the sanctions were announced. It took Calibre less than 3 months to recover to its pre sanctions level. Since that point Calibres share price is Up over 50%.
If CNR had tracked Calibre it should be at 45p now.
It would not seem unreasonable to expect CNR to continue to climb towards 40p as we await the first firm bid.
