HORSE HILL UPDATE: The rig has now left the site to signal the end of HH-2z drilling and the imminent beginning of extended testing of the horizontal well.

The public consultation on plans by UK Oil & Gas to drill for oil and gas at Dunsfold in Surrey has been extended by three weeks.

The Environment Agency is seeking views on the company’s application for environmental permits (see DrillOrDrop report).

The original consultation was 28 days, with a deadline for comments of 19 December 2019.

But the community group, Protect Dunsfold, told DrillOrDrop this was not long enough to respond to the technical material in the application, particularly because the period included the general election and the run-up to Christmas. A spokesperson for the group said:

“This application is of high public interest and needs to be subjected to close and detailed scrutiny. 28 days is simply insufficient time.”

The application has 26 documents, including a 218-page environmental risk assessment, 195-page gas management plan and a 261-page site condition report.

The Environment Agency has now extended the consultation period to 10 January 2020.

A spokesperson for the organisation said:

“We appreciate that during the festive season and general election people may need an extended period to review the application and respond if they wish to.”

Perhaps you would like to tell us what it says on the stock tanks. You obviously didn't read my first post this morning. Think it says 180 and yet you say 200. The total capacity prior to drilling was 1600 barrels. Not 1700 as you suggest. From that you should be able to work out what it says on the green storage tanks. I don't need my eyes tested.

Came from the Planning Documents referenced. If you look at the bottom picture on the right hand side (if you zoom in) you will also see that the tanks 1-7 hold 1300 barrels.

The site is limited to 1540 barrels capacity under the EA permit. Until they get the new EA permit they can't hold more oil even if they do have the tanks.

I'll stick with what the Planning Application says (7 x 1300 barrel tanks) which does not come into affect until these conditions are met "IMPORTANT CONDITION NUMBERS 8, 11, 16, 19, 24 MUST BE DISCHARGED PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE DEVELOPMENT".

Don't believe what you read on twitter. The planning application said "All oil and produced water will be stored in 3 x 180 bbl tanks and 2 x 500 bbl tanks."

I don't think they will need as much capacity as you think. The capacity will be based on keeping the two streams apart. API 36 and API 41 are two completely different grades.
If you look back the tanker count for the initial stages of the EWT was low. 40 tankers in the first 4 months.

They will probably stick with the 5 x 180 barrel stock tanks and 2 x 350 barrel storage tanks for the Portland and whatever they need for the Kimmeridge.
In 3 months they should have the new facility 7 x 1300 barrel tanks up and running.

imo YA are the ones holding the cards and unlikely to want to be holding so many shares at any one time. We are nearly 4 months into the deal now and have only shifted about £1m of YA shares. We still don't know what Tellurian are still holding.

What about the outstanding £4m which could be in shares (400m)? £3m by end of the year and £1 million second deferred payment, on or before 31 March 2020. When is the first part RNS going to land?

Probably because they will have oil coming out of two different wells and don't want to mix it is my guess. They will probably have 4 separators, two for each well.

Core analysis can take ages to come through. It took 5 months for mention of core results from BB and they were hardly mentioned in any RNS or the latest CPR issued.

The Horse Hill-2z ("HH-2z") Portland horizontal well has been completed and temporarily suspended as a future oil-production well.



· HH-2z is now ready to enter into the planned extended well test ("EWT") campaign. EWT operations are expected to start in early December, once the rig has left the site.



· To permit safe operations during the HH-2z rig-down operation, HH-1 Kimmeridge EWT production has also been temporarily shut in. Oil production from the HH-1 EWT has continued throughout HH-2/2z drilling and is planned to resume in parallel with the HH-2z EWT. Total HH-1 test production now stands at over 78,844 barrels ("bbl"), with over 49,276 bbl from the Kimmeridge oil pool.



· The HH-2z drilling campaign successfully delivered approximately 2,500 ft of horizontal trajectory wholly within the Portland reservoir's oil productive zone or "sweet-spot".



· UKOG's preliminary interpretation of the HH-2z electric logs suggests the horizontal trajectory has penetrated good to excellent reservoir quality and high oil saturations throughout the 35 ft thick sweet-spot zone.



· The HH-2z EWT testing programme will commence with a planned sequence of normal well "clean-up" operations.



· Following clean-up, the well will be flowed over a minimum 90-day flow period to assess its stable production performance. Following the EWT, and subject to the necessary consents from the Oil and Gas Authority, it is planned to transition HH-2z and HH-1 seamlessly from test production into long-term stable oil production. Planning consent for long term oil production over 25 years was granted by Surrey County Council on 27 September 2019.

This was the map that accompanied the RNS for aquisition of BB. The dotted green area in PEDL 234 is where Dunsfold is.

For someone who keeps deleting tweets from your twitter account do you really think I believe you. Of course you have evidence that the well head has been prepared, The RAMS and BOP are on. All crude oil lines have been connected to the separator, heater and stock tanks. They have managed all that in the few hours the rig has been moved away. I will accept that they are getting ready to conduct a flow test. It is investors like you that gives this share such a bad name and no wonder the sentiment has gone from it.
I never believe the trades on here but they all can't be wrong.
