The key criteria for selecting a preferred partner include (in order of importance) (1) the capability of the partner to fund and deliver the project rapidly, (2) the stake in Anchois that Chariot would keep and (3) the amount of the upfront cash payment.

Note the 3rd criteria point is cash.. I would prefer they did a fund raise now and prioritised the first 2. If they are getting squeezed on point 3 this can only help..

Easy to be critical and there are grounds to be so. If the deal with a partner involves that partner pumping in up to £50m why does BOD need another £14m ? If the partner has been decided on, maybe part of the agreement is Char need to show a healthier BS - their cash must be low now. Difficult to justify but of course we will not have been told everything by a mile. Do they think they will even manage a full subscription of this £14m? I think Institutions only hold 25% so if they have agreed there is a risk the PIs will not play. They must have thought of that. There are a lot of scenarios. They certainly need to prop up the price above 14p while this is going on or the raise will cause a further drop. But there may even be a predator about to bid for the Company at 25p if the BOD can force the SP down enough. I think something will happen imminently.

All the information we have has been positive. Nothing negative whatsoever. We understood that we would hear something by H1, which we thought was by 30th June. That date was missed, but as there are several interested parties to pick a deal with, if the news is imminent it is unlikely that we will hear of any hints of who it is with and what the terms are while the negotiations are ongoing and close to agreement. It is even possible that an announcement was almost ready when another party improved their offer which will have delayed completion. This is all confidential stuff and we cannot expect to have special information on such. We must wait until the Board know they have a deal.

I always like a good formula and think I'll buy a couple more dozen shares now. My window cleaner uses such stuff with his 4 big screens making £thousands a day. Gets bored with it so gets his bucket out for a relax! I need to catch him when he has a mo' so he can show me.

The VWMA formula is as follows:

VWMA = Sum of (Closing Price x Volume) / Sum of Volume

Jag I'm inclined to agree. I think the mms have been keeping the price down for ages while there are sellers who are impatient and probably making a profit on their stock. I bought at 9p and if they have then most have nearly doubled up but possibly not been following all the news. By keeping the price low the stock has been hoarded by them, maybe partly on behalf of other party(ies). This 444,000 went through at 17.1p ?? while the buy price was showing higher than that. So either it was actually a sell, or an earlier buy just been notified. Dodgy deal if you ask me which might just mean tomorrow will start higher? I'll stick my neck out and say some news in next couple of days fits in with that.

Being a realist but slightly optimistic I suspect that the extra "days" (I hope!) that it has taken, past the H1 could be because there are several interested parties. The more there are, the longer it will take to negotiate and play one off against another.

I expect to shoot through to the high 20s with an announcement and if say £50m payment is part of package that s/be worth at least 5p per share. - current market value £167m, so plus £50m which is 30% x 17p = just over 5p.

Jimmy... amazing! You should have a column in Investors Chronicle. I'm surprised you haven't pushed the share price up to a quid by now. Probably anyone reading your posts has already got their max investment in !!

25% of the licences is owned by Moroccan Government, if a Farmee takes 51% that only leaves 24% for Chariot and any dividends from the profits would be based on the 24% for all the existing shareholders. The 24% would also be the basis of the valuation of the Company and the shares with the inclusion, of course, of any other value Chariot has re the Hydrogen and Solar sides and also any cash injection by the Farmee (at say £50m that would be about 5p per share) as part of the deal.

I am guessing a Farmee would take a % of the licences in the deal rather than a stake in the whole Company. The deal will be a very complicated contract taking many pages of legal/technical wording which will have taken a lot of time to put together and that is after the time-consuming job of filtering out the winner from all the bids. You don't simply take the highest offer - you need to be confident you are getting the best overall value for the shareholders including the certainty of the Farmee to be able to deliver.

I've been there twice with 2 takeovers - the latter, a PLC, containing a serious mistake in a complicated equation which would have cost my selling client about half his proceeds had I not spotted it before it was signed.

637 proven gas, + maybe 735 , = 1372 not 1392, + maybe 280, gives 1672 - which is >1.6t . but isn't that a "maybe " rather than a "clear " pathway? Whatever, they are big numbers whichever way you count them.

Reading your previous posts tells me you have done your numbers and are quite expert in your theories. I know nothing about gas exploration and rely on instinct from what I read. What do I believe, and what could be an exaggeration or a big hope. On this one I'm excited and the caution being exercised is due to market makers keeping the price low to pick up stock that PIs are selling out of impatience but making a nice profit anyway. PIs like you and me and most on here have enough and probably most PIs are not on here or other chat rooms but simply read Simon Thompson Marcy and stick some with all their others and keep their fingers crossed. The MMs probably have their pockets nearly full by now and when the SP moves it may move a lot in a sort of stampede.

The value is there and if APs gang cannot sort it out they can find a buyer who can.

Sasa & KingBilly Absolutely. Our shares are represented by valuable gas and we have no reason to believe that the gas cannot be turned into good cash. Wait and be patient. When the price moves upwards it will be more difficult to judge when to sell than it is to judge whether we have a valuable asset.

I think if all on here are looking at some good profit when (not if!) this comes good, it may not be out of the question to have a day at the races? Goonerpete is eyeing up a yacht and I'm going for one or more of the 14,000 racehorses in the UK. But not a Chariot racehorse. If I can find enough time I'll have a yacht too as I am a touch greedy.

Any thoughts on the name of your yacht Pete the Gooner? You could try an anagram of Chariot Ltd but the best I can come up with quickly is Tad Rich Lot ??

A Fortieth of one percent of the company was purchased at 04.26 pm just before close today- £36,000. I wonder if that is significant? 3 weeks now left before end June by which time we should have heard some news about something or other ??
