RE: The Team29 Aug 2023 13:24
Hi Surity,
Good Summary
I agree that the lack of communication is possibly to do with being wary of upsetting a deal which may be changing by the week. - "yes I think we have an agreement which we can sign soon/imminently/shortly" - We will announce that but cannot say more until it is signed. "Oh we just had a call from another prospective interested party, could be a better deal, let's slow down a bit" or "Our prospective partner wants to change the deal slightly due to recent events and it would be an advantage to us both"
The deal is going to be very complex and now the on-shore issue will complicate it further. But Char should be getting into a stronger position with events like more cash in the bank and more opportunities.
I have been involved with such deals and you have to be really careful what you say to whom; and when.
I think they should say something like " We understand there is an element of caution in the market due to us not making any announcements and although there is a delay signing THE deal with a partner there is good reason for that which is only good news for us so please bear with us"
At least we would not have some investors running scared. But, of course that may suit them if they are constantly picking up loose stock at a lower price.
At least 3 people on here who will say "lower price than what?" ......
Hopefully things are going to plan and eventually when all is in place they will hit the button.
