Wait and see, as the mild Omicron variant overtakes Delta in the next few days, you will see hospitalizations plummet. Delta is the big cause of Covid hospitalizations. When the Delta variant is extinguished, how many beds will that free up? I don't think anyone has asked this question?

Red list rules could be eased later this week after reports that Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has convinced colleagues to ease restrictions on travellers.

A plan is expected to be approved in the coming days and hotel quarantine could be replaced with testing for fully vaccinated travellers, according to the Mail on Sunday.

"There will be changes to the red list and hotel quarantine system later this week, changes which enable the Government to look friendlier towards travel just one week before Christmas," Paul Charles, chief of travel consultancy The PC Agency, told Telegraph Travel.

It might actually be good for travel that Omicron is spreading so fast, there will be no reason to restricting travel and people might want to get the hell out of dodge when the restrictions are lifted.... better to spend a couple of weeks in the Sun that having to sit in your local with a face mask and walking home in the rain....

Problem in the UK is the over reliance on AstraZeneca. As effective as having yourself with a dose of H2O….. Bojo fail yet again, not sure how he will spin this one, bet Europe are glad they didn’t use those extra doses after all.

The allegations of the Downing Street party make things much harder for the government to enforce any restrictions. I hope that all this madness ends with Bojo being shown the door, absolutely useless... He is playing with peoples livelihoods....
