Negotiation is part of every deal, you dont say yes to everything. IAG also did the same with Aer Lingus they got 17.5% when the demand was 24%, you can only assume that it is a negotiating tactic. You dont give everything away, i am also sure he does not make decisions on the value of a SP any given day, it is more strategic in nature.

I think everyone forgets here that IAG is a European company, its not a British company. True British Airways is in the portfolio however it wont impact whether the EU say yes or no. Its the fundamentals of the deal that are important, i had a feeling when Luis Gallego came out about the Lufthansa deal at the airshow that he was anticipating a negative reaction to what he has offered versus other airline takeovers. I would not want to be in low cost shares, as the airlines are all going to have to bring down prices which will squeeze profitability. Look at Ryanair, Wizz, Easyjet and Jet2 today. Long Haul still demands a premium so i cannot see this hitting flag carriers as hard, especially that there is no competition with low cost.

Price is recovering towards close which shows it is just sentiment... which is what is controlling this SP.

It is obvious to everyone that the boom is plateauing. People are sick of paying higher fares, particularly with Ryanair where you are treated like cattle and have to pay fines for ridiculous luggage sizing. Not sure how much it will affect flag carriers as low cost airlines are essentially the same price now. There might even be a transfer from low cost to flag carriers. They are essentially the same price.

Sundezena you bought "20000 at £1.758," which means you lost around 3k since you "last purchased". You also said you were not going to sell until £1.86. It will of course go up in time but you are definitely not a day trader, especially if youre off to the pub or going on a cruise.....
