This drop is as a result of US and Asian markets results. There is definitely a softening, anything happening in the Middle East will only impact it further.

Results day rise decimated. Back to square one. Sentiment is the only thing it seems driving this SP unless you chance your luck over the long term.

I think you need to convince yourself more than anyone on this forum. You can’t say it will go higher when essentially you don’t know.

Savory completely agree with your point, this is an interim dividend and not full year. There will be an increase in full year and as you said i would anticipate this as the major catalyst. Significant share buyback (even though there is a small one in place) would be great.

As well as growing the size of the business, hence the consolidation....

A share buyback will be the only way out of this, along with dividends and institutional investors.

It will however make for an interesting negotiation as i am sure IAG will look to transfer some TAP slots to Madrid, enhancing connectivity with their other airlines.

Istabrraq Madrid slots would be taken out of the equation as Air Europa deal was consolidating these slots.

TAP are a much stronger value proposition with South American routes, €4.2billion in revenues in 2023.

Yes, understand, but this is a clean break without contingencies. Shareholder value was the main concern this time round due to the regulatory involved. This wont change or at least i cant see it doing so. If it does change it would be a new contract and new negotiation with the EU involved which is unlikely. I see TAP being the next focus at the end of the year.

The 50m fee is contingent on exiting the contract of buying out the airline. Since they cancelled it, the same contract is no longer in force.

You should reference the FT sundezena when it comes to the deal versus your gut feeling. Clearly states the market felt it was a good deal... I do hope everyone is wrong and you are right, will see tomorrow.

Only risk to tomorrow SP is Air Europa deal. It was obviously announced at the same time as the Q2 results to soften the blow. For LTH it is a positive result.

I always knew the reports would be better than other airlines. Its a differentiated business with the transatlantic weighting.

Sentiment has run riot with the share price. Comparing IAG to Ryanair or Whizz makes no sense, just a pity the market didn't understand it. Feeling is the common practice when there are no institutional investors, hopefully now they will have the confidence to come back and drive the SP higher.

Reinstatement of the dividend is also great news with a view on demand remaining positive in the medium term. You cant predict how markets take news anymore so i can only hope tomorrow will be a bumper day.....
