There has been some contrasting and comparing with Seplat recently.

Seplat publish their YE accounts late Feb/early March. Then mid May after everyone has had a chance to assimilate the information they hold an AGM.

Contrast and compare that with Savannah.

I'm struck by the stupidity that Hydrogen delivers 'Net Zero'. As with most 'Net Zero' achievements emissions are simply moved elsewhere in time or space. They are not eliminated. Often overall they are increased. Hydrogen would be an example.

Pure Hydrogen exists nowhere in nature. To isolate hydrogen you need to expend a lot of energy to wrench it away something that it was originally combined with. The process is inefficient. The latent energy in the hydrogen produced is less than the energy required to produce it. The exercise is fairly pointless but you end up with something that is akin to a battery. YES you can pat yourself on the back saying you have achieved 'Net Zero' at the point of use but no emissions were 'saved'. They were moved elsewhere and there were more of them.

Also hydrogen loathes to infinity being alone. Fortunately for hydrogen as the smallest element in the periodic table it is super well positioned to infiltrate/attack/combine with anything it comes into contact with. This makes it very difficult to store/contain/transport. Combined with the previous problem there isn't a big win in producing pure hydrogen. Hydrogen is an impractical/stupid solution to most problems.

JamYesterday - there is no malice of forethought

The RNS genuinely strikes me as an odd

- the traditional first agenda item / cornerstone of an AGM ie the adoption of the accounts will be absent - "A separate General Meeting will be called to approve, inter alia, the 2024 Audited Annual Report."

- "the current auditor, has notified the Company of their intention to resign".

-"the current expectation is" a replacement 'Big 4' firm will take over.

When the accounts are due imminently and everything is on track from a timing point of view the above seems odd information to share unless things are not on track or there is a possibility that they are not on track.

In which case there may be a follow up "As previously communicated to the market.." RNS.

It is just an opinion.

BTW failure to produce audited accounts would result in suspension I believe.

AFAIK companies have a limit of 6 months to deliver their YE results so something should be published by the end of the month.

Given that three years ago they had a statutory NAV of 326p ps and this is now down to 197.3 p ps that hardly seems relevant.

They have had very large losses in the last three years.

The question is how do we know that they have sunk as low as they are going to go and will make progress from here?

Strange (fat fingers somewhere) when I look at this page as a logged in user it categorically states the two transactions are valued at £ 1m rather than the expected £1.4m

Either the shares were sold @ 4.5p or the receipt should have been 1.43m.

SAVE is definitely an interesting case study. I'm sure that there is something to be learned from it. I'm just not sure what yet.

I know 'receivables' is a topic of interest.

How much of the US$503.0 Trade Receivables (31 March 2025) relates to true-up/we've been paid with monopoly money arrangements (not that any FIAT currency is real money)?

If true-up arrangements exist would they mirrored by true-down arrangements?

If so could an invoiced party sit hands on their in the hope that an appreciation in the monopoly money cancelled out the monies invoiced ?

If the invoices were settled what currency would they be settled in ?

MudPump - you could well be right and SAVE is the next multi-bagger in your portfolio. However you are not in possession of any logic or numbers establishing a pattern that would permit you to conclude with any confidence that this will be the result. You just have a feeling in your water.

Porschefund - Yes it would include that. More generally it is the way numbers are given a misleading presentation (IMO and a red flag). Scanning the 'Highlights' of any recent RNS would suggest the company is in rude good health.

Behind the scenes it has $1.2bn of debt and (setting aside whether it gets paid and what it gets paid in) 'revenue' (a shape shifting term for SAVE ) is only $245m. In 2024 well over $200m of 'current borrowings' were shifted to 'non current borrowings' (or a lot of something would have hit a fan).

Question : forgetting about 'Highlights', when the 2024 results come out soon what do we expect the 2024 post tax profit to be and what dividend are we expecting (if we think the company is in rude good health) ?

Kinkell I never mentioned Zengas. I specifically said that my thoughts are based on what I have read in the accounts.

Occasionally companies come up on the radar and I spend some time looking at them. Even if I don't think they are Investible I am happy to share my thoughts rather than waste the effort particularly when I think a counter balancing opinion is required. I get no thanks for it but I have no dog in this fight.

The most extreme board I have ever encountered was Bushveld Minerals. It was a CULT. The cult leader was a prolific poster PDUB. It was blindingly obvious that the company was going to crash and burn but any unbeliever who suggested this was on the receiving end of considerable venom and bile if they suggested it. Ultimately the cult leader PDUB led many to financial ruin.

I'm not comparing any SAVE poster to PDUB and I am not saying SAVE is another BMN but I am saying that for your financial health embrace alternative points of view and do your own research. In particular read the accounts.

Yes I have read the fantasy accounts (and the "here are some garbage numbers but we feel they are more representative of the underlying business" nonsense ) and meant what I said.

I know that SAVE is followed by some well informed/normally high functioning contributors. I'm just surprised that year after year they remain in some 'group think' emotional support collective repeating what Adam first said to Eve i.e. "Stand back we don't know how big this thing is going to get!".

For those involved I genuinely hope it delivers and that what has been poor judgement to date is ultimately vindicated.
