It goes something like this. The amount you state. £800,000. Then you have to understand these takeover vehicles have value in them selves. As it is a listed company often they can be bought out as an empty shell and have value of £500,000 or upwards of a £1,000,000. As this is a start up company many people want to get in in the biginning so it has a premium and then your paying something for the value of the people who are heading it up and there insight connections and lastly for their ability to do good deals. The question you should ask is why do people buy junk bonds? They can bring a good return isn't it? Lastly just in its shape and with the ability to tap the markets it can raise money and you do not have to stump up the funds. Of course it looks like it causes a lot of dilution and more shares come on line but the company can grow that way.....If you like you can see it in the past history of some companies. WPP for example was a wire products company but became the largest advertising company in the world.....Well there are no guarantess but that is what people get on board and that is why there seems to be a permium in the company...No guranatess that it works out that way but that is the hope anyway, hope it helps......hp

Way over £1.00 and probably be closer to £1.30- £1.40. This should be bought out for no less than £30. Million and it is priced at £2.2. This share has been over looked, (as it looks like I am the only one here) and it under valued to the tune of at least £8 Million. 30% Premium or rise should be expected, whether by the market or a bidder.....

The Board of Tomkins confirms that it has received a proposal from a consortium comprising the Onex Corporation and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (collectively the "Consortium") to acquire the Company at 325 pence, in cash, per Tomkins share (the "Proposal"). The Board has considered the terms of the Proposal and has allowed the Consortium to conduct due diligence on the Company, which is now at an advanced stage.
