Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I find it hard to believe that the biggest contract on our books, that could come to an end next year, has been extended for 7 years and it not worthy of an RNS. I find that hard to believe that PF thinks that's not worthy of an RNS. Sorry Tosh but ….
It's in the public domain that the Tema tariffs remain unchanged whilst all the issues relating to them are resolved between the parties, MPS, GPHA, the Unions etc. So surely it wouldn't upset anybody or the negotiations if they allowed us to state our remuneration as these are as per the existing tariffs (presumably)
Just a thought.
Mr Nidal Yavuz has been appointed as Westminster’s General Manager, he has since held a number of senior sales and project management positions with various companies, including Smiths Detection......the company that makes the Tema scanners and so that has to be very helpful to our management operation there. Especially if the scanners break down as was the case early doors.
Got to be good news as this sort of person wouldn't join WSG without being sure we have the Tema contract.

Shame as this is our sweet spot...unless we get an RNS anytime confirming we are the security experts that they refer to.
We can dream
Well if I was PF I would be on the phone first thing in the morning to the Ayatollahs to ask if they remember where they left the letter of exchange to start the contract? If not, I have a copy for you:)
Wow, the yanks and Iran have come to a deal....all sanctions will be lifted if they can finalise the wordings.

Now this would put a rocket under the share price:)
Yes, but the Rapiscan scanners broke after 15 months (warrantied only for 12 months) and more things broke on them whilst they waited for them to be repaired. Didn't appoint anyone to monitor/upgrade scanners and so good story for WSG.
Might still be on opportunity for WSG as fits with the hold up due to a new CEO for the airports authority.
MikeGp, yes I stand corrected.
Still should mean we get approx. $10 per TEU.
Considerable add ons for physical inspections of which there are many according to the MOS facebook page...it's a big hold up at the port.
Tick tock
After completion of export customs clearance procedures, the exporter prepares all required documents as per the terms and conditions of letter of credit. These documents will be submitted with exporter’s bank, along with the original LC. Bank verifies all documents and make sure, the documentation is in order as per LC conditions. These documents will be sent to buyer’s bank and in turn to the buyer after necessary approval in documentation by seller’s bank. Once the buyer’s bank receives the documents, the export sales amount as per the said documents will be sent to exporter’s bank. ...just as you said Jimzi:)
The credit period of LC is determined my mutually agreed terms and condition by buyer and seller before sales takes place.
Some time, the foreign buyer may demand credit period of 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days etc. However, since PF said monies will be received immediately upon shipment we can conclude no period of credit.....just as you said Jimzi:)
Gold star??
Definition:
A letter of credit, or "credit letter" is a letter from a bank guaranteeing that a buyer's payment to a seller will be received on time and for the correct amount. In the event that the buyer is unable to make a payment on the purchase, the bank will be required to cover the full or remaining amount of the purchase.
There you go Jimzi
Foxy, what we know is that we are being remunerated based on the current tarrifs (we don't know our split) and hense MPS are happy to sign this off as 'on account' payments to us. The actual amount we get may be higher if we get a split of the increased tariffs that have been pre agreed between MPS and GPHA but that are causing the delay.
AIMO
The unknown whistle blower has accusations which are far more serious than what's in the transcript of the phone call and it's this that Pelosi is deeming as the necessary evidence to go for impeachment.
Let's see what she says in the announcement today. She wouldn't do this ahead of trump agreeing to the release of the unredacted transcript of the call tomorrow if she didn't have evidence.
We'll soon find out
We can also make some reasonable assumptions on the 'on account' income.
We know the current tariffs being levied and the issue with MPS and GPHA is the increase on these of a further 10.9%.
It would be reasonable for the on account bit to reflect the current pre increased tariffs and so MikeGP's figures earlier seem to be a good guide.
Aiming...I read that from the update yesterday:
''screening and search operations have been in place since Terminal 3 opened on 28 June 2019 and payments on account to Scanport and Westminster for work undertaken are being made''
So I take that as we started work on 28th June and we're being paid on account for work done since then.
