Many are factual and support the company in terms of the updated Prospective Resources of Jan 26th, the geology of the area, the location of the Blocks, the Majors in the area............

The amendment to PEL0094 agreed by the Ministry gives Global a further year to fulfil a modified work commitment, after which Global may elect to enter the next licence sub-period in September 2021.

The Company's announcement on 20 July 2020 detailed the updated prospective resources in both the Marula and Welwitschia Deep prospects in PEL0094 following interpretation of the 3D seismic data licensed earlier this year. The modified work programme agreed with the Ministry concentrates on the licensing of existing seismic data and the carrying out of studies specifically designed to focus on these two exciting prospects.

Extension of Petroleum Exploration Licence 0094 in Namibia

Global Petroleum Limited (AIM: GBP) is pleased to announce in connection with its licence PEL0094 (Block 2011A), offshore Namibia, that the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Namibia (the "Ministry") has agreed to extend the licence sub-period from September 2020 to September 2021 and also to modify the work commitments. Global holds a working interest of 78% and is operator of the licence.

Says approval significant positive step in the previously disclosed planned process of obtaining financing and completing the closing of its acquisition of Atomic Oil & Gas LLC. Facility has term of four years and has base size of USD45 million, with an additional, or "accordion", USD20 million to fund future development at the sole discretion of the lender. "The terms of the facility are market competitive and availability of the facility remains subject to execution of final definitive loan documentation and satisfaction of customary conditions precedent," company adds.

The extract is what I used as the basis to my response.
There is are growing thoughts of GBP and TRP merging in some capacity to enhance the Prospective Resource figures ( joint > 3 billion barrels) with additional thoughts of a major like Total taking over. The companies seem to have similar philosophies and close former links with the late Peter Blakey and the still Peter Taylor. Total are on the same " strike" as TRP.
A quick deal could suit all parties in this hot zone of world prospects.

BigBear agree in part but the SP should in reality not be down here but higher up there.....BEFORE the news of Jan 26th it was around 1.5p and so should be higher

A grasping at straws I read.....
Even TRP who were interested in the deeper targets decided to wait and evaluate further analysis.
That analysis has been done ? in other areas and 7 years later the prospectiveresources in PEL 0094
and not PEL 0010 where the TRP drill was) has shifted to 2.2 m barrels at at an improved COS of 22%.
The next drill will not be near to the TRP/ Repsol area.
In addition the majors are still in the vicinity!!

Massive difference between ramping and backing up statements and views with research from sources.
Seen lots of research.
Admittedly its a little difficult to work out the story since the RNS . It are factual and the massive increase in barrels of oil as Prospective Resource at an improved COS of 22% should have gained SP increase,
I compliment the people who have promoted,with good reason and back up material.

Dont think there is anything tricky.
TRP is smaller and any major buying wont worry because they have clearly defined blocks in whichto work.....it could interesting though ...just like two people drinking out of a glass of lemonade with a straw each straws.
TRP are going nowhere quickly.

Supermajor scrap
Namibia is not on most investors’ radar, yet. But there is a reason why so many supermajors are flocking to the region and flooding the area with exploration cash.

ExxonMobil, like Eco Atlantic, is moving rapidly to expand its exploration offshore Namibia, while French giant Total (NYSE:TOT) has the record-breaking Venus-1 well. This represents a potential 2 billion barrels of oil in ultra-deep waters in a giant Cretaceous play, close to the South African sea border.

As Upstream reported in September: “If Venus-1 is successful, it will trigger a wave of new exploration in a long-neglected play that has so far hosted marginal discoveries.”
