SYME 1st Ever Face to Face PI Interview Summary
Haha firstly, and sorry to disappoint, the interview wasn’t recorded.
Secondly we obviously couldn’t discuss anything not in the public domain so explored what we do know.
They were all hoping and happy for the information to be shared.
Summary:
When asked about todays Eight Capital RNS AZ said every day if he gets chance to add skin in the game into SYME he does and will do as it’s his initiative and he believes in it so expect a TR1 soon IMO.
Changed policy on RNS and will only announce partnerships / names with numbers otherwise it just suits traders for a little sentiment.
A new initiative being announced shortly that the market doesn’t know about.
Tom said that the TFC platform is based on supporting SMEs but now large enterprises are wanting to use their digital trade services which is another revenue stream.
I asked if TFC were writing the digital trade finance blueprint for the ICC (something I am led to believe) and John in his dry humour with a smirk said he couldn’t possibly say, although Tom went onto discuss in a roundabout way.
The ICC SME fund is looking to grow to $2b although won’t happen over night.
Asked regarding the developing 3 year relationship with Apex and was informed they are in discussions with Fundrock who Apex bought a few months ago and who have >$100b AUM based on UK, Ireland and Luxembourg funds.
Large corporates in the MENA region wanted UK common law for IM, lots happening with Lenova/iMass still.
The upcoming trading update (which was referenced a few times) will include the business plan for 21-25 updating the prospectus and will be what AZ uses in the roadshows to funders and something solid in it around numbers and less words.
Roadshows starting in September in London, then Milan, Paris and the US.
Referenced the Trade Advisory work and AZ stated TB is doing much more than just the US and they are looking to bring Tony into SYME in an official capacity.
To be honest he kept talking about numbers and the trading update will see them and forward estimated revenues.
Can’t recall if it was John or Tom but they said there is 30x more value than they can service at any one time and that they came to SYME as potential customer then realised all the synergies etc through the banks, platforms, partnerships etc which we already knew.
He wouldn’t let on regarding the financing but said they’ll update the market soon.
Whenever I discussed
