Hadn't noticed the corporate news link on the jqw IR site.....see the non execs were ousted by founding shareholders on 26th Jan.....they have obviously stopped sending investor emails, as I never unsubscribed from the list...... but didn't get notified.

I'm afraid Faizan that taking any legal action would, in my opinion, be a fruitless excercise. Don't underestimate the huge costs associated, and you'd never get anyone to take it on without a substantial retainer. Barclays have zero accountability as the decision to invest lies solely with yourself. I think you'd be hard pushed to prove any wrong doing from the management, as everything can be attributed to bad luck on their part (despite the obvious huge co-incidences that have lined the way). At the end of the day, they simply aren't accountable in the UK. The next interesting chapter will be whether the UK non execs resign - I can't see any reason why JQW would continue employing them now that they're de-listed here.

Interesting that the Investor relation site has been down today - hopefully just being updated to reflect the new company basis, and not a sign of worsening relations (if possible).

I'm intrigued as to the origins of airuosi.com............This has appeared as a headline banner on jqw.com, and links to a clothing e-commerce site. Whois notes that the tech and admin email addresses point to '@jqw.com'...............https://who.is/whois/airuosi.com

I'm a little confused as to what you mean by "The website in China never had stock and you couldn't order from it."? JQW.com is / was a b2b operation, and there was no e-commerce arm..........revenue was always from advertising only, just as per alibaba, youboy etc. Are you referring to jqwmall.com, which was all but abandoned after launch?

The small chance of appointing a new Nomad within a month now seems impossible - I cannot imagine any Nomad being able to undertake due diligence without a CFO.

JQW plc, a domestic Chinese B2B e-commerce operator, announces that the Board today received notice of resignation from Francis Chan Hein Huey, JQW's Chief Financial Officer, who is leaving the Company to pursue other options. The Board would like to thank Mr. Francis for his contribution and wish him well in his future endeavours.

Unfortunately JQW tried to secure a new Nomad earlier this year, and have been unable to secure that appointment after many months. The month of December couldn't be a worse possible time for them to find an interested party, especially considering they've already been around the loop and failed - it's a short 'deal' month with the festive period encroaching.

Did they shed any more light on their reasons for resignation......I wouldn't have thought a Nomad could resign simply because of the AIC uncertainty? The AIC news is in the public domain, so investors would take their own view on the risk. The thing that I find odd is that the website went truly off-line last night - the web server is down. No longer do we see a maintenance notification - which I find peculiar if the company really does plan to restart, and co-incidental timing before the suspension. I might be alone in that view, so interested to hear what others think.

As far as I knew Tian Sheng Enterprises is still the major shareholder, and on paper is controlled by the chairman's niece 'Wang Xiufang'. It reports as being registered in the British Virgin Islands.

My understanding is that they have a window of opportunity to find a new nomad, after which the company will be delisted. If they choose to wind the company up, and make no attempt to pursue this option, then British investors would be left trying to pursue them in the Chinese legal system. If they do have a positive cash balance I would assume that the Chinese controlling interests could effectively pocket this unless legal proceedings were successful. Given the fact there are no major UK shareholders in JQW, I'm unclear as to who would be prepared to fund any such action (as it would likely cost far more than could be recovered).

JQW isn't an e-commerce site, so no money is being exchanged via this business. It's purely an advertising hub, connecting buyers and sellers............so no reason why connections wouldn't have been made whilst the site was up. However, there is a question as to whether JQW would have been allowed to charge for advertising during this period.

Main issue seems to be that the site is down yet again; As we all know it has been up for a few weeks despite not receiving final approval. Why has it gone down this time(?)

I bought the majority of my holding on 27th March at 6.25p, having previously bought in at 16p. I sold some during the 2 day rise to c. 20p (although only achieved 11.5p, as expected a longer rise) and reluctantly sold the remainder on on 21st September because of the suspension (to stop loss at my average, but achieve no profit). Hardly clever..... I'd have been clever to sell completely when they rose to 20p.

I have no current holding in JQW - I sold at the 1st suspension RNS to break even, having bought at various prices over the last year, but hoped to buy back (even if the price is higher) with some more reassuring newsflow. Unfortunately that's not been forthcoming as yet, so I remain an interested but not invested party.

The main hope for investors is the cash pile. Assuming that is genuine then the most likely route to gaining a share was through a dividend. Earlier in the year they stated that they would return to paying a dividend based on profitability - you would assume that this is incredibly unlikely now, and that any cash will be invested in trying to re-establish market share and the new controls (which is a very expensive enterprise). Failing dividend return you then turn to a company sale, or capital appreciation in the share price. Competitors would seemingly be unlikely to buy an asset which has loss dominance, and 80% of available stock can be legally sold post December (although you wonder to whom). Therefore we're left with a share buyback - possible but I think it's more likely that the owners will extract any cash using payments to suppliers with whom they have an affiliation.

It would now appear that the AIC are making every effort to delay JQW getting back online. "The Board welcomes the increased investment in the training of its employees which will further increase the Company's long term effectiveness." I'm disappointed to see the board making that kind of statement, implying it's a good opportunity - Invest in training during normal business operations yes, but 6 weeks off line for this type of company is extremely damaging.

Trading Update 19 October 2015 Further to the announcement released earlier today, the Company has been informed by the local Administration of Industry and Commerce (the "AIC") of the results of their inspection last week. Whilst the AIC is satisfied with the remedial work that the Company has done to address the issues concerning the Company's systems and filters raised by them last month, the AIC requires the Company to carry out further training for the new staff that it has recruited to strengthen its website monitoring activities. The Company expects that this additional training will take place over the next two weeks. In the meantime, the Company's operations remain suspended. The Board welcomes the increased investment in the training of its employees which will further increase the Company's long term effectiveness. A further announcement will be made in due course.
