The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
You are absolutely right "the government can't be trusted" to promote UK industries, to secure British Jobs and innovation. But what does that say about us the electorate that we tolerate it, that time and time again we simply forget, put it behind us and move on so that the status quo is preserved the elites prosper at the expense of ordinary folk with total indifference. I dont think the state of affairs has been quite so bad since before the World Wars. I think it's time for a change and not just of the political party in power but time for a change of the system of Government. Porridge first.
Said it at the outset, vaccination is carried out in blocks, no or at best vanishingly small need for antibody tests - vaccination/ boosters will not be tailored to individuals antibody status. Any other assessment is delusional in my opinion. Government has little enough cash to throw around.
My eldest son has Covid and is enjoying his Christmas dinner with his partner. Like Islandgirl he says he has had worse headcolds, takes lots of vitamin D and Zinc and has refused to be vaccinated much to my annoyance.
Happy days. Key points to note are that any risk of running out of cash in the forseeable future has been banished, and for the eagle eyed no 'ifs or buts' in the tail end text of the RNS regarding AVA6000, "targeted chemotherapy platform which releases active chemo in the tumour, which limits the systemic exposure that causes damage to healthy tissue ...". Much, much more good news to come. Nice little present for Christmas, thanks AL.
Never been a fan of Sir John Redwood MP but on the Shropshire by-election he straightaway went mentioned that people want to see support for domestic industry, so all these emails to MPs and the petition may be well timed. Anyhow incoming RNS any day now so chin-up and onwards, short term fluctuations are just that. AVA6000 or HUA or a big news in any respect and we will be away to the races. Merry Christmas Long Term Holders, keep the faith.
On testing and at risk of boring folk lets be clear Avacta has a test that is as Sensative as it can be across the infectious range and in terms of the identification of infection is as good as PCR and a damn site cheaper. There could be world wide demand for Avactas LFT and/or manufacturing partnerships. All is not lost by a longshot. All in my own opinion of course but based on available inputs.
The point is that if Avacta hits £5 from here then the ingredients are all there for £25, you will have seen MM analysis which in my mind is solid. So top slice at £5 if you like but dont give up on the £25 if you can afford to wait a little!
As sad and as painfull as it might be to watch the SP at the moment, and for me its pretty painfull, this tanker will turn on news and if its the news I expect and yes have to a degree taken an informed gamble on this will be back on track for the long discussed £25. So until then best sit on hands and not look at the price too often or perhaps at all. Keep the faith and good luck to all true believers, our day will come.
Dont think any Government anywhere should introduce Mandatory Vacination but having folk with cancer die because hospitals are clogged with unvaccinated individuals is not acceptable either so sadly the solution has to be ban hospitalisation of the unvaccinated, except for those who have not been vaccinated on medical grounds of course. Treatment at home with antivirals and the like for the unvaccinted should of course be supported. Would need communication of this well in advance of enacting.
Time for tweeting when you spot the chance that there is:
"No need for isolation on travel and contact when UK @AvactaDx has developed an LFT with 100% Sensitivity across the infectious range albeit locked in the UK Government Desktop Validation Process."
