There is a unique feature about Prodox, to wit if phase 1a outturns positive data there is a real prospect that Prodox would take, without any competition, the whole 75Billion Dollar chemo market for the target drugs. Not a percentage of but the whole market. Good to buy, bad to miss out on!
Well if Big Pharma wasnt looking before they will be looking now and there may be a touch of squeeky bum developing at the thought of their multi billion dollar markets being taken overnight. I hope the Avacta boardroom is looking tidy because there will be a few important visitors over the next weeks. Also, lets not forget that given this first dose escallation its likely that the safety margin for delivery of Dox has already been improved to a degree so Avacta already has a better version of Dox on its hands. The only way is up baby and perhaps a cheeky bid in the not too distant future, so hold tight all and congratulations all long term holders your patience has been rewarded, you bought into a possible 100 bagger!
Regarding selection for a trial, in my experience a consultant will approach a often very sick patient and ask if they would like to participate in a trial which may help them and other cancer sufferers in the future. There are many altruistic folk who participate for the benefit of others.
Goody, I hope and believe you are right. But can do without this experience again, looking at a share price every morning and throughout the day does no one any good and I have the rash to prove it. Moving on, the tortoise is finally about to switch on its turbo charger so hold tight good times are coming. GLA Long Time Sufferers.
Guess I''ve been cynical for years but the events of this pandemic has brought home to me how corrupt the whole sh** sh** really is. You want a certain result so you set the ct value where you need to to get that result. Never mind that the medical concensus that ct < 25 is barely acceptable they set it at ct 20. Not incompetence but corruption and lies. Not bl**dy good enough. Avacta plays with a straight bat using up to ct « 30 and they get pushed aside. Not bl**dy good enough.
Well done on the FOI request. What has been revealed is criminal, in my opinion. Its fraud in that they accepted payment for a service and essentially failed to provide it, seemingly they had no intention of providing it. This should be dynamite in the right hands because the consequences of Government action has, again in my opinion, inflicted reputational damage. As was said at the time "if your own Government won't buy your LFT why should you expect other nations to". Its either corruption or stupidity on a monumental scale, if Avacta is aware of this I hope they instruct their legal team to take action, ODX as well. Unbelievable.
Interesting interpretation of what 1a means and not aligned with my own thinking. If the data gathered indicates that the dox has been largely contained within the tumour and that the rest of the body has not suffered the usual toxic effects, which I know all too well from family illness, then Precision works. Dox works so no question mark there. The only question then becomes how much dox can you/ should you load into the tumour. So in my mind there is a big jump in the share price after successful phase 1a and lots of i terest from big pharma. Perhaps Ophidian, or others, can set me right if Im off at a tangent.
Strange situation isnt it. If I'd had cash on the side I would have bought by now! We know there is no bad news, we know the last thing stated by AS was "very pleased" we know 3 days of meet and great planned, we know we have a group of world class oncologists standing with Avacta, we know the US trial was accepted, we know the next candidate Precision Drug has been selected. What baffles me is how anyone can think an update could happen saying anything but AVA 6000 phase 1a was a success. Perhaps I'm off my rocker!
"Ha ha "meant nothing in particular" you are kidding right! The writing is on the wall in letters 6ft high is all! Problem is the story simply sounds too good to be true, the reality is that it is not. Life changing opportunity for those with cash to invest in my opinion. Wish I had cash to spare at this point but sadly don't.
Dave, I'm with you as regards continuing to hold. Was going to sit down and remind myself of the Five major items that would have to fail before Avacta becomes a lost cause, most unlikely they all do in my opinion. If anyone of them succeeds its happy days for all holders including those who bought at the peak. This logic figured in my own decison to invest big (in my own terms). Painful as it is its a waiting game. We bought the farm and have suffered a bad harvest is the way I like to think Buffet might put it. Good luck all longterm holders, the experience is definately character forming.
Its a well worn phrase but we are where we are. Second generation test and proper scritiny of all LFT devices by the various agencies will be a very good thing and I hope and believe Avacta will ultimately win the war. I hope the company now understands it is war out there, the writing was on the wall with BAMS delays until PCR testing was fully established, but heyho water under the bridge now. Affimers work so hopefully other reagent sales roll on apace. Onward and upwards, I'm not selling any GLA chins up.
"Try harder" indeed. Lets not forget we have one of the best tests probably the best LFT in the world bar none. Sir John Bell should be brought to book and made to retract and apologise in my view. Either we have a bl**dy good test or we dont AL needs to speakout in my opinion.
Sir John Bell is a bl**dy liability, this is the age of misinformation where folk can seemingly get away with downright lies with impunity. But he of the pig snot conspiracy could be on a sticky wicket if BIVDA can be relied upon, time to fess up then shut up Sir John and another thing for the PD fiasco alone we should be having that knighthood off him.
I know that if you order Fish and Chips online with a Seniors Fish and Chip shop and are lucky enough to be awarded free chips you best check they are there when you pick them up. Just saying because it can be very disappointing otherwise.
