I don't listen to The Sunday Roast to gain any serious insight into a company but it does lead me to companies I wouldn't otherwise have heard of and then onto some proper research. The old guy has another channel (Monday Upbeat Markets) and it's a similar format although, again, the level of understanding of the companies they talk about is very low. They're certainly not Rick Rule!

To extend your metaphor, Santhi, does anyone else think this is fizzling out? The news flow, apart from telling us there presenting the same old stuff to a new group of people, is very poor.

There's nothing wrong with adapting a strategy when circumstances change. JMK's famous quote springs to mind. I've done that and not done that with various investments and both benefited from it and regretted it as a consequence. We live and learn.

Shaun and his team won't be with us forever. I'll be following their careers and looking out for what they get involved with next. That should be a good start. Rick Rule always says look at the team involved in the project and decide if they have the right skills needed to help you understand the opportunity and chances of success. We know Shaun's skills and I'm researching other key members of the GGP team.

Speedie - I made this point/asked this question (whether miners retain any of the gold they produce), last year, and the response from a few was that they do, in effect, store gold....in the ground. I wasn't convinced by this but didn't have the appetite to enter into a debate.

All I've read in the last dozen or so posts is speculation and pure guess work. That's the problem with Faron. There never seems to be any real news or proper insight into where we are heading. We get announcements that they're presenting at so many conferences etc and nothing comes of it, then the rampers jump in suggesting this means a deal could be done 'soon'. Juho has used the word 'soon' on so many occasions and nothing comes to pass. Even though I'm still in the blue on this investment, the reason for holding is diminishing rapidly. How long do I give them to come up with the deal that really makes it worthwhile holding? I'm not looking for investment advice, just interested in people's take on this? I just see my other investments in natural resources/precious metals rocketing for the past eighteen months and that irks me!

Element1 - What makes you state 'they don't know what we know'? (referencing the Stocks Down Under' report and your comment). Are you suggesting that us lowly PIs know more than these analysts? I doubt that very much and just don't want to get carried away here.

My Barclays investor account shows the value of my incanthera shares as being zero. Has anyone else got this? I had written off this investment because of TM’s total inability to deliver anyway, but am still surprised it has come about in this way.
