http://www.investopedia.com/articles/technical/073001.asp I plot the fast stochs ( 0-100 ) ) against the slow stochs ( 20-80 ) & against the rsi ( 30-70 ) . Use standard 14 as the time model on all of them for daily & weekly trading or play about with smaller time models 5,3,3 and do a bit of mix& match as you have both suggested to give more more accuracy in " scalping " or intraday .( 5,3,3 a bit tight for equities , perhaps, but ok for fx & indicies trading ) .... Just a thought ..... GLA .... catch you all again in a while . ( ITV sinking again atm .. time to buy some more soon ?? )

Evening All ...... just a quick look in . Optimus ... hope you're having ( or had) a great holiday . I'm not doing any equity trading atm., just got a Dow Short open from up around 21590 as a precautionary hedge against any Summer falls . Put the heating back on last night as my good lady is feeling the cold .... Been doing a few day trips here & there and looking at perhaps something further afield soon . Got my first state pension payment so now i've got letters after my name ...OAP (lol) . Will drop in again in a wee while .... Sods law but unfortunately it seems i've got an appointment or two of my own to work around now .... Optimus ... Old Age can definitely suck at times (lol) ..... GLA .......

I'm not sure atm. which way i'll be voting come Thursday .... still very undecided atm !! Been travelling all down the route of the River Severn to the Bristol Channel ... did the Severn Valley rail thing and stayed over in Tewkesbury , which is a lovely market town very much like Shrewsbury . Then over the Severn Bridge to stay overnight with friends near Cardiff ...back home over the Brecon Beacons . About knackered now , lol .... Optimus , good luck with that Ftse100 Long !! ... I did very well out of my EZJ Short & Ftse100 Shorts off 7550 ( not 7450 as posted) & 7595 .... Done nothing else other than those ..... I'm losing now on ITV , CLLN & VEC ..... one or more will come good tho' i would think so not too bothered for the moment ... GLA ..... will drop in again soon .

Morning All ..... Gs / Optimus ..... been busy with other things so not much time to do any posting . Gs ... happy birthday for yesterday , hope you had a great night out . I'm in the middle of garden restyling as well ... hard work on the " old " back !! Been up to Barmouth a couple of times and now planning the next leg of our trip following the river Severn along its course ..... a few hospital visits to be worked around in the meantime . As far as trading is concerned , i'm having a bit of a summer break from it all ..... Sold up my TALK , JRP , TSCO & a couple of others .... Holding on to some VEC , CAR , ITV , CLLN & TRIN ..... I'm Ftse100 Short from 7450 this morning & Short EZJ just this minute at 1424.58p , way overbought again , so we'll see..... Will drop in when i can .... GL both .....

Gs / Optimus........ can't get this damn website to work other than at a very old snails pace , so have give up on it for the last couple of days !! Gs.... yes, Fundsmith rising a bit , i thought you had sold out of it tho' a while back ?? Optimus ..... hard luck with your Ftse100 trades .... i have made quite a few points over the last couple of days in trading it Short from around the 7510-- 7520 level down to around the 7475 -- 7480 level . Have you seen EZJ lately .... well over 1300 p again , 1328p as i post this !!!!! Nothing else doing much atm. .... Vectura is well oversold technically ..... my trade is a medium term one , i suspect !! Very sad about Manchester Arena .... GL both .....

Gs ..... hmm , my good lady may find that remark a bit sexiest , so i won't tell her . She's busy mowing the lawns atm and then washing the car ...... and i've got to put the spuds on to boil and then do the ironing ( wink , wink ) . It's a strange mixed up world ....... lol . Sainsbury's sp probably up because of the short term profits they're raking in by hiking all their prices every week to silly , dizzy levels ....... My weekly shop is already being done more & more at Asda & Morrison's & Tesco .... simply not going to stay with Sainsbury's at this rate & have spoken to many others who feel the same !! So be warned Sainsbury's ....... Was just a thought , lol ..... GL sir ...... back to bed , may get as far as Barmouth today !!

Morning Gs .... i'll do me , sir , not into all these fancy ( expensive ) bottled lagers you prefer !! For many years i was an Ind Coope Bitter man ..... I switched to Lager when i found pubs couldn't do a good Bitter any more ... So a nice clear crisp super chilled Carling ( and there is still such a thing ) does me just fine .... after all , i'm just a good old country boy , lol ........ GL sir .....

Long time no hear ...... Yep, that is a great " Up North " price , to be sure !! .... Yesterday , we ( wifey & I ) took it upon ourselves to start the " journey " taken by the river Severn from its humble beginnings on Plynlimon down thru' Powys and into Shropshire ( Shrewsbury ) ... Next stage ( weather & health permitting ) will be in the coming weeks on down to Worcester ..... GL sir ......

Evening All ..... Doesn't look like much has happened in my absence ..... except the Dow flying high again !! Fickle lot , those yanks ....... Ftse100 & Dax obviously not convinced enough to follow suit atm....... Ended up in coming back thru' Newtown , Powys .... not much going on there either except a good pint of Carling for £2.95p in a Spoons , which is the cheapest i've found anywhere !! The sun was out all day tho' ..... should have gone to the sea-side really ,lol ...... GLA .....

Parked yesterday at Sainsbury's next to a Jaguar XJ ..... stunning , beautiful machine !!! Not much trading for me yesterday & today .... busy elsewhere !! One or two Ftse100 Shorts off 7480 - 7485 resistance has paid off handsomely so far !! EZJ still on the rise again , i see ..... TALK rise slowing down ....... GLA ......

Lol..... yes , me too !! Just closed latest Short at 7462 ( + 35pts. ) ... looks like a bottom of sorts for the moment !! Dow still tumbling .... GL sir ....

Ftse100 Short again from 7497 ( City Index ) ..... GLA ..... extremely good recovery from EZJ ( 1222 close ) !!
