I'm on the phone to Finspreads as i post this ----- checking the nasty spike down in ETO at around 08.39am -- Took me out of two of my longs as well ----other long had s/l a little lower down , thankfully !!!---- The Dax stll racing ahead ---closed 50% of my long late yesterday , 50% still running atm ---doing well !!!--- Finspreads have decided to re-instate one of my longs but not the other ---- have gone back in long again anyway , just, so not too much damage done !!!--- Strange spike down that one ?????---- GL ---

Yes , of course, you're opening statement is factually correct , nobody can deny that !!---- But that's a shorting purists point of view nothing else ---and as Fruitster so eloquently points out "HedgeFund Short Covering" etc.etc. and the very complex dealings that go on in and around those Dark Arts (lol) are far from that simple or purist !!!!!----- Simple point he was making , i suspect , is that Tesco are doing worse than MRW atm even with no large short covering or "Dark Artestry" to hold it back or diminish confidence !!!---- Read into that what you will , of coures , but it suggests to me and others hear that contrary to what you suggest MRW is better placed than Tesco for any recovery , if and when it happens !!!--- GL sir -----

Good post ---You make a very good point on short covering ----- But Stock Shorting alone , as we know, does not necessarily directly influence the SP of a company ----- But your premise on short covering does hold good if and when the market decides that this stock is worthy of some good upward momentum ----- GL----
