Gold long closed @ 1258.1 (+13 pts.) ---- order in again for lower down !! ---- May also go again if 1260 res. gets taken out properly !!!--- Triggered my Dow long @ 17520 ( just above this mornings high with a 20pt.s/l ) so have been lucky , i suspect , with that one --- Stop is at 17570 for a poss. +50pts --looking good atm. !!! --- Ha.ha.ha ---- Dow got stopped out for +50 as i was writing this post (lol) --- Oh well --- that'll have to do !!!--- GLA ----

Morning All :--- Optimus :---- Dow hit 17500 to give me +100 points off yesterday's Long --- Still running the Gold Long from 1245.2 ---- So i'm really happy that the week has given me some very good overall gains !!-- Not going to do much more today as my bath hot tap is blocked up with a perished washer and the wife is screaming for it to be repaired (lol) ---- A cold bath won't hurt her , i thought, ---dare not say that to her tho' (lol) --- GLA ----

Optimus :-- yes, on the news today that spain and holiday destinations closer to home were being heavily booked by Thomas Cook etc. at the expense of Turkey and Egypt and those sort of destinations !!-- Today's sad news sorta re-enforces their decision !!!-- My Gold long still looking good ---- and a Dow long off the crucial 17400 marker is in the money atm. Should see an early rise across the board on the Ftse100 if current levels hold till tomorrows open !! Time to take another TSCO long soon ?? -- GLA ----

Yes, hard luck ---- markets taking another tumble again today !!! -- I'm looking good on that 1245.2 Gold long atm, touch wood !1-- Been trading the Dow long on the one minute dips --- all adding up to a good little points " bundle " atm. Dow 4 hourly & 1 hourly are oversold now ---- so i would expect a rise of some sort --- but i'm happy to just trade the 1 minute dips and rises atm !!!--- Doesn't look like many shares have suffered too badly with the Ftse100 drop today !!!-- GL ----

Optimus : --- i've had an interesting day with Gold (lol) !! ---- Got out with the loss of just 2 points on that 1253.1 long and then kept trading the 1 minute oversold rsi all afternoon and watched in amazement as it kept turning lower and lower each time after a couple of points rise (lol) --- It has finally turned now with the open of the US markets and i have stayed Long from major support at 1245.2 . So for all that i've come out with just + 8points so far (lol) ---- Tight stop now if that 1245 level does not hold ---- It's genuinely oversold on the 1 hourly now so a rise should be in the offing very soon !!!--- GLA ----

Out of Dax long for + 58 points -----need those under my belt just in case Gold keeps dropping !!!---- GL ---

Optimus :-- Ditto for me on Gold -- out late last night / early morning for + 2points --- i,ve just gone back in long tho' at 1253 .1 ---- so wish me luck (lol) . RTN keeps rising --- only got 500 now tho' ---- Things holding up quite well considering the Bearish outlook now on the markets !! Went Dax long just under 9800 ( 9795) after the big drops this morning ---- up a bit atm !! GLA -----

Yes, very good recovery from oversold levels but i sold 50% of my 408.5p top-up a bit too early today ( 421p) it would seem !!. Markets all following the Dow lower after the FOMC minutes tonight suggest a US rate hike maybe more than once before the end of this year now !!! Gold also tumbling --- and i went and opened a Gold long position --Oy Vey GL -----

Fingers firmly crossed for both of us on Gold then now !!! GL sir --- off out in a minute ---

Gold ---- Oops, i forgot the FOMC minutes were published today at around 6 o'clock --- that accounts for the big drops in Gold and the Dow ----- more likely hood of a US interest rate hike this year now !!! May have to double up if it drops much further (lol) -- GL sir ---

Well done on your trades . Just an update on my Dax/Dow straddle bet !!!---- Dow and Dax both dropped significantly about an hour or so ago enabling me to close both out at the same time and bank +89 points on the Dow short and +18 points on the Dax long .--- out of both atm and happy to sit it out for a while now !!!-- These types of trades work very well at times ---today went in my favour !!!-- Gold dropping back big time again ----- may put in another Long in a minute or two !!! Looks like i closed Aviva 50% and RTN too darn early !! (lol) --- GL -----

Trying a new strategy ( well , one i haven't tried for a while , anyway ) --- Gone Dax long and Dow short --- works some times , but rather difficult to work out when to get out of one and continue with the other , if you get my drift (lol) --- GL sir ----

Am in the process of significantly decreasing my holdings in two of the P2P companies i lend thru' . This year has seen a significant increase in the amount of companies Defaulting on their Loan Agreements and Capital Repayments , which has impacted on my overall profitability in these two companies --- so will look to find others with a better " Debt Recovery " history or perhaps go into Funds / Bonds a bit more ?? --- GLA _---

Just a quick update from me ---- busy elsewhere today , i'm afraid !!! Optimus:--- it's not afternoon yet ?? --- .anyway , well done when ever it was !!! 1000 of the RTN sold & 313p for + 41points ---keeping 750 for now . 50% of AV. top-up sold at 421p for + 13.5points -- keeping rest for now . Caught a big Dax short yesterday for +200points . That enabled me to get out of 50% of CPR for an overall gain . Still a few pence down on latest IMG long . ITV still in a loss overall ---- dropped back again , i see, this morning . Friday's TSCO long sold for + 15 points yesterday ---- will be back in on any further drop back . Still holding on to MTC ---- but in a loss position still. My latest Gold long was closed out at 1280 for + 14 points --- Gold struggling at 1270-1280 level but will watch carefully !!!. Still got some CAR ---- doing ok on that atm . Still got a small PETS long ---- bit down atm on that one !! So , overall , i'm hanging in there quite nicely atm . --- nothing to shout wildly about but then again i'm still in an overall plus position on the year so far ,---- so taking into account the potential for the markets to Fall Significantly further at any slight hiccup i'm reasonably happy atm !!!! (lol) . Forget about ETO ---- 50% sold a few days ago for a very small gain ---remaining 50% are in a loss position now , sadly ---still i have high hopes of a bid for that one !!! GLA ----
