123 - yeap agree but the laws of economics are out the door and we are in the midst of contagion. The price is just ridiculously cheap, yet that doesn’t preclude it from going even further south- it’s mad
The price of darkness has spoken and a very valid question. Surely with its healthy balance sheet it’s ripe for a take over or even an amalgamation with AIB- yes I hear monopoly , duopoly etc but we are living in very uncertain and dangerous times
Icarus- this bird has no wings now. Boris has ring fenced a hard brexit..... this will have a massive impact on economies for all- i don’t see a floor tbh. If the market flees there’s nothing you can do nothing about it .
I wish i could share your optimism- at least the govt can save £39bn . Chlorinated chicken maybe not so bad after all :) - I foresee if we have a hard crash civil strife in many areas. Anyway off to my local boozer now to imbibe some of Somerset finest local cider. My toes tingle after 3 pints ....
even if the backstop was scrapped tomorrow morning to appease, the WA is utterly flawed and hasn’t a life chance of passing in parliament. It’s too late, both sides are entrenched. Hatred, vitriol and spew is all that’s left to negotiate - it’s a hard brexit imo and the tanking sp reflects this together with an impending official recession status when the next results come out together with world instability. When do the sharks begin to circle this bank ?
long term- u cherry pick words not sentences - typical brexiteer bell end waster and chaser .... vera lynn and the white cliffs of dover for u will be on the juke as you all swill your cheap cider and wake upto the biggest hang over ever come 1st Nov. It’s pitiful what’s going to happen, I’m done but i really worry about the youngest generation that didn’t vote for this when we have oiks like you poisnoning the planet
The only way to stop the catastrophe of a no-deal Brexit? Revoke article 50 says the guardian . This won’t happen, the market woke up today and realized that we are now entering a full blown sh/t show. Long term investor - i really hope now there is a tragic brexit as you brexiteer fugh wits deserve ever bit of vitriol coming. You will have violence and discord in that 4th patch of ireland you claim to, you will destroy welsh farming , you will destroy the union and lose scotland. You will also cause civil discord amongst the general population of England... villages are at war re division . Let me be clear , I adore the UK, but it’s the bell end right wing nationalist brigade that have already destroyed common sense and have brought the uk back to the Facist 1930’s. You support Dominic Cummings who is at best imo a reincarnated AdolphEichmann . Best of luck kiddo- my BKIR shares are like Atlantic resources shares aka as dead ducks.... but wise enough elsewhere to be in cash. Shameful
“solid bank”? that’s what i punted on, not so sure now. 6% drop today, tomorrow no better...... all my finance people are fleeing the market now. Brexit is a storm that no wanted to happen but it is. Thank god I’m in cash mostly- GLA, you’ll need it as a solid bank can become a dead duck if there is a massive default scenario.
nuri- i don’t believe over reaction in the slightest. All the big guns are shorting the fugh out of sterling re a hard brexit and u told damage as it is. A hard crash will leave many businesses collapse with loans defaulting (starting the obvious)- SP is now based on contagion and armageddon. Where the SP goes is anyone’s guess. What I find amazing is there are no pond feeders ready to swoop in now which says to me the SP has no lower floor now. Fugh Brexit - it really has caused untold damage even if there is a deal or Art50 revoked.
The market is fleeing for the hills now. I fear Leaktak the resident prophet of doom here is spot on.... 2€ it could easily get to. It’s in utter free fall now, not because of its current earnings but it’s projected earnings with a hard brexit. The property crash 15 years ago which Ire never recovered fully will be like a tremor compared to a full on earth quake re a hard brexit. Both sides are more entrenched than ever , all the old hatred and bile is being spewed out again. I thought his bank would be ripe for a predatory take over at these levels but the sharks and pond feeders will be waiting in the 2’s to strike. It’s scary stuff and I have written off this share as a bonus if ever it surfaces again. We had all such high hopes but tsunami and tsunami has finished it
Get over yourself trying to pick crumbs from a web. You above all are a well recognized long term bell end plonker type contributor here that dwells on minutiae of others as against the big picture. Bringing a water gun to a gun fight is ill advised.
I haven’t sold Torq so there’s no misfortune- have made good in other areas. For me my kids can inherit this bucket or i can sell and offset the capital losses against gains elsewhere so it’s not all morbid. I repeat especially for Radars benefit who comes across beyond bitter and sour that losses are part of life but when you dont have your health well it means nothing. I have lost millions from the boom which i’ll never recover, was very close to bankruptcy and yet battled my way through refusing to throw in the towel. I’m still alive and get up everyday with a smile albeit a poorer one. I remember buying into this share when it was at its peak in the boom.....talk about backing a horse in reverse:) . I still for some perverse reason keep an eye on BOI maybe because it’s just cheap beyond abandon and if I had the wedge as i used to have i’d be scooping this share up as a punt. Good luck and have a nice weekend
say something constructive but being a smart alex grade A bell end adds nothing. I feel u have lost ur shirt here, I have lost over 300k if i sell this piece of sh/te but i have my health which is my wealth. Cop on son, we are all hurting .
the share that keeps on giving :) total donkey but very interested re forthcoming results. What’s the most depressing thing is they probably will have robust earnings and the share will plummet as per usual..... the sp as i said before is linked to the hip with brexit. The two plonkers going for PM rattling in about hard brexit depresses me. Such dangerous talk.
