Re your point, 'No new competition in catalytic targeting though, why...', am I right in saying our patents effectively block anyone else from taking the catalytic route hence they're all allosteric.

Morning Utah, bit of a mystery as they only went public in Oct 2021 but in Dec they were able to put VTX002 into a P2 trial so they must have been raising funds for some time prior to that.

Just had a look at the Ventyx sp and it's opened 10% up on yesterday's news which equates to about $100m.

I wonder how the MMs came up with the figure - would they decide the increase should be as a percentage or as a dollar value?

I'd certainly hope if we get excellent P1 data for 1801 then we'd see more than a 10% uplift!

Just a follow-up thought, SOG. Perhaps WIP could confirm if Sierra remains 'as is' and they're effectively ring-fenced from the rest of GSK whilst they continue developing their pipeline.

Evening SOG, as it was a merger then you'd think Sierra must still exist in some form albeit under the auspices of GSK. Afterall, when they wanted the 'whole shop', wouldn't that also include the staff & their knowledge?

Hi Krone - I had a quick look to see what I could find re VTX-958 on the various drug trial websites and it's as if it doesn't exist. No mention of it at all. I'd have thought that as soon as a trial is underway then the details get published on https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/home

Indeed. Whilst GSK only update their publicly announced pipeline quarterly, they're probably well underway with the next steps in 737's development hence it worth keeping an eye on the various 'record of clinical trials' websites.

WIP - I hope you're not still working 7 days a week. I appreciate all the hints you've provided (within obvious limitations) but wondered if you'd seen any mention of 737 reappearing on internal servers. Cough once for 'yes'.

No idea if the trial report will be knocked back a 4th time but at least we shouldn't have to wait long to find out.

Thom - all large pharmas will have a warchest of cash set aside for this sort of court case. The recent RNS from GSK suggests they're confident of defending the case(s) so I don't expect it to impact any M&A deals.

If by 'new broker' you mean the new financial PR company then search for Consilium.

Hi Celtic - as Tim previously said, 'generally a company would want a compound for all indications.'

So 'generally' would suggest there might be wiggle room in negotiations but you'd have to have a pretty bulletproof reason for not giving in to big pharma's demands.

If a pharma bought 1801 knowing it could perhaps treat 20+ indications, would they persue all of them or just the real money-spinners? Each indication would require ££££££s to get through trials so just because 1801 might be a swiss army knife in terms of ability, they might not want to use every feature.

Evening Gunner - from reading the tox report RNS (see below), I think we can say just one tox study is required as it notes the (original) intention was trialling it healthy patients first before deciding on which indication to go for. They've obviously decided to change their plan slightly since they have announced the target is psoriasis.
