Once they do blood tests etc. on applicants to ensure they're fit then we'll get a 'first dosing' RNS to announce we're now a clinical stage biotech. It'll be squeaky bum time for all concerned (a common symptom) for a week or so while we wait for either an RNS to say the second cohort has started or everyone's dead.

Either we'll see increased buying next week due to fomo or people will wait to hear news from the first dosing and then jump in.

Hi C79/Krone - here's their trial entry if you want to compare & contrast it to our own study. I've not had a look for a patent on their drug to see if they've used some tracing paper on 1801!

Not a squeak from our investor relations but at least the ANZCTR entry has been updated to show ethics approval has been granted.

Now we just need to get them to update it to say they are recruiting. Honestly, you just can't get the staff...

My sources tell me a report in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry showed that SDC-1801 had a 50-fold selectivity for TYK2 over Jak1 and also the journal Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters reported a selectivity ratio of 17-fold for TYK2 over Jak1.

Sareum's recent activities have focused on toxicology studies designed to gain insight to the maximum-tolerated doses (MTD) of SDC-1801 and SDC-1802 in rodents. SDC-1801 is further advanced and currently demonstrating excellent tolerability with doses up to 30 times the level that gave good responses in efficacy studies; an MTD has yet to be reached.

We are bound to get a 'first in-human dose has been administered' RNS and if, as Potnak suggests, there's no 'the trial has been halted' RNS within a week then we'll maybe start seeing really big buys. I think Thoth said it's when we see individual buys of £30k+ on a daily basis that we know we've got the attention of serious investors. Many of us will have built up holdings of greater value but I doubt it was done in one hit.

At least if 1801 does throw us any bad news then a deal for 737 could keep us going while the BoD ponder any knock-on effect for 1802. The BoD will get daily updates on patient progress so if the trial starts early June, we'll know very soon if things are looking positive.

I've just pinged off an e-mail to our new PR person to ask that they get the trial entry on the ANZCTR site updated as it still shows 1801 as not having ethics approval.

If we can't update it at our end then they'll have to contact the primary sponsor in Oz.

Don't want to give the illusion that 1801 is being held up in any way etc.

If you think we're spaffing money up the wall, take a look at what folk are saying over on the NNN forum - money gone forever. At least we know 737 is effective in combo and there's a good chance of a deal being done.

I agree, SOG. I think the only trip-hazard we face now in the short term is ensuring the capsules have made it safely to Oz and they haven't been lost in transit or held up by customs.

Warty - would you rather just rely on tweets and our pals at PH getting the word out or would you prefer our guys to actually meet with the big pharma reps at these types of event? You may counter that with, 'ah, but what proof do I have that they've met?' and the obvious answer is what proof do you have that they haven't?

Hi Ahfam/SOG - any idea how common it is for a test drug to continue being used after a trial phase has ended? If Ahfam is correct that 737 is still being used in Manchester/Newcastle, the staff there must be pretty confident that it beats other currently available drugs.

There's also a table showing UK behind Oz in the number of P1 & P2 trials initiated in 2021 however Oz isn't in the top 10 for P3. Interestingly Spain comes 3rd (behind US & China) for P2 & 3 trials - I'm sure 737 was trialled in Spain.
