Hi SCH - I would presume the NEDs are kept at arm's length with regard to certain info even if there is no NDA. That way there can be no question over integrity etc.

Whichever way you slice it, things are looking good despite the concerns over the terms of the RF loan. None of the board are in this to lose money so that's two votes of confidence so far this week.

It'll be interesting to see if Owen also buys some but I doubt we'll see TM & JR buying as they probably feel they have enough shares already (or they know something is imminent!)

Anyway, was it Tim or Steven who said we've been approached by interested parties? Although they passed the enquiries to CPF, there must have been a reason for those parties to speak to the BoD in the first instance. Surely anyone serious about 737 would know the current position re ownership and would therefore go straight to the CPF unless they were sounding us out about buying our share/stake (call it what you will).

As for a stakeholder only being informed of outcomes, ummm, not from my experience. Stakeholders wanted to be kept in the loop re progress.

I'm sure we could discuss the minutae ad nauseam but it's all just speculation for now.

Hi SCH - true, Tim & John probably won't know the finer points of any ongoing 737 discussion but JR might have been asked to give assurances that the life of our 737 patent(s) could be extended with a tweak here and there. There could be non-binding agreements that T&J are aware of but the NEDs are kept at arm's length.

From watching the various Investor Meets videos, I'd say the whole board play with a straight bat. Probably not too many AIM companies you could say that about.

Hi Leggster - I have it in the back of my mind that non-exec directors (Parker, Owen & Birch) aren't necessarily informed of every last bit of info relating to the company so it 'might' be feasible for them all to buy shares at the present time.

Think of it this way, Tim & John will know how the trial is proceeding on a daily basis and they'll know what stage any talks on 737 are at as they may have been asked to provide background knowledge to prospective buyers. They would therefore have insider info. The NEDs however might only know the trial is progressing (public knowledge) and that CPF are talking to people (also public knowledge) therefore they have no specific insider info to give them an edge over us punters.

For those thinking this latest share purchase means there is no imminent deal, they might be very wrong.

Exactly, Laz. No one in their right mind would short a company without having some idea as to what the company does and what the short to medium term prospects were.

I'm of the mind that there is a 737 deal in the offing but it's taking longer than the BoD had hoped. Therefore thay have had to take the loan in order to keep 1801 on track and continue translational studies for 1802. If a 737 deal comes off then the BoD should be in a position to pay off RF and cancel the loan. The RF deal allows SAR to buy back any shares still held by RF - these could be cancelled by the BoD and reduce the dilution.

Hi Belhus - I've used various AI search engines just to see what they come up with re 1801 & 737 and it's mostly garbage. I don't think machines will take over the planet any time soon....unless they plan on doing it via misinformation!

Evening Damion - reading the report SOG posted (thanks), does the extract below suggest our Tyk2/Jak1 compound could beat the Tyk2-only Deucravacitinib?

From Section 4.5 - "Blocking both Tyk2 and Jak1 in this study was more effective than inhibition of Tyk2 alone at reducing psoriasis-like disease severity, keratinocyte proliferation, as well as IL-23, IL-17, IL-6, IL-22, and antimicrobial peptide gene expression, and the authors postulate that targeting a combination of Jak1 and Tyk2 using an orally available inhibitor may be a viable approach for treating psoriasis..."

Some people might think the sp is about to collapse but sp fluctuations will have no impact on the ultimate value of 1801 if it proves effective in trials.

Hi Basil - on the flipside though, if we had raised off the back of that but then got money from 737 milestones, people would be complaining that the dilution had been unnecessary etc. etc.

Hi Celtic - I'd guess Potnak blows a bit hot and cold on this at times simply because he's trading it. On the 3rd Aug he wrote, "On the plus side there may be some fun trading opportunities in the next few days."

As I recall he's on a free ride (well played to all those who are!) and so he might simply be trying to gently sway sentiment based on his own plans (not to be confused with the actions of our new chums, the shorting twins).

I was thinking about what DeAar had posted re RiverFort's current financial state and came to the conclusion if they are not doing so well, then maybe their operational strategy (lend money then dump all the shares etc.) isn't working out for them. Instead, perhaps they've realised they need to back a winner with a real chance of multibagging.

I think this week would be the earliest we can expect a safety review of the first 3 cohorts (although they may require more data), but if all clear then that lets the multiple ascending dose element get under way. Surely that would boost the sp and even if RF sold into the rise, the safety derisk would encourage new investors based on the good news.

Morning FG - re your statement, "...the company have not got a clear idea how the trials are going...", you do realise the BoD will have access to all the blood test results etc. from each participant therefore they will have a clear idea how the trials are going?
