I'm sure someone here posted something along the lines of the body's reaction to having Covid can in some instances trigger a response that cures other ailments. That said, I gather some people's cancers can go into remission without much in the way of intervention - rare, but it happens.

Silverfoil - HMRC would only knock on your door if your VAT returns looked out of place for your trade class or if they decided to do a project looking at accountants in your area. Even if your business came up for a routine visit, the local officer could say 'not worth visiting' if they had bigger fish to fry. Otherwise it's a case of 2m+ VAT reg'd businesses in the UK and a finite number of staff.

Just a final word from me on MM shenanigans - last year on the BMN board one poster collated all manner of iffy going-ons and fired if off to the FCA complaining that MM high jinks were artificially holding back the sp. Having a little experience with the FCA from my previous employment (I didn't work for them), I can tell you the complaint will be sitting unread in a dusty corner of some server along with all other complaints about how other share prices are being manipulated. The FCA is understaffed and whilst there are some sharp cookies working there, the FCA is ultimately toothless.

At the time another member on the board outlined an allegation against the Stock Exchange that was upheld be the judge however in summing up, his view was that if he issued a penalty to the Stock Exchange that would risk bringing them into disrepute and we just couldn't have that so off you pop!!

Hi Ahfam - I'm afraid that from what I've learned being in BMN for the past year is the MMs can play whatever games they want and mcap doesn't enter into it. Raids on stop loses (though the share holder's own fault if that happens), 'borrowing' shares to sell even though they shouldn't be able to do that, large 'fake' sales to suppress the sp with mystery uncrossing trades hours later. The list goes on.

Cobalt - 75% in an ISA with the rest in a standard acct. (can't have everything!).

Goal is to have enough to buy a large house (currently in a wee flat - hate having neighbours!) and decorate it with a well curated guitar collection and exotic hifi. No dependants so free to leave it all to good causes when the time comes. Could have doubled my holding but need a safety net if SAR goes belly up. Prudent investing choice!

When I bought my shares earlier it took a few attempts as the system was throwing up an error but managed to get it through on the 3rd attempt (computer error rather than a N/T). Anyone else having an issue?

Forgive my slightly ham-fisted question below (I'm an armchair cosmologist not an armchair pharmacist!) -

In response to your post on solubility & FLT3/Aurora, are you (or anyone else) able to clarify if the solubility issue relates to the storage of the drug e.g. suspended in a liquid or is the solubility issue related to the absorbtion of the drug within the body? If it relates to absorbtion within the body, then perhaps your proposal re the crystalization patent being linked to the solubility of Aurora (if I've picked you up correctly) may be in error.

The reason I ask is that I was reading this https://www.pharmacologicalsciences.us/medicinal-chemistry/the-importance-of-water-solubility.html and was thinking it's one thing to have the compound in the form of a pill but another thing to get it to disolve in the stomach and be absorbed that way. Any thoughts or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I thought the 4th paragraph in the above link particularly interesting where it outlines why it might be beneficial for a drug to display less solubility.

I wish I paid more attention in biology at school!

Hi Krusty - hope all goes well for you. I know 3 guys who've had it and all are in the clear now. Seems treatment these days is very good. Last chap was diagnosed, treated and cured all in the space of a few months though he says he's now radioactive!

Hi SOG - currently siiting on 2.1m shares and pondering whether I should sell my other holding and go all in (effectively doubling my SAR holding). Good as the science is, the pharma world isn't a dead cert so anything could happen here. If things go well then I should reach the millionaire club with 2.1m shares, if I go all in and it goes pear-shaped than that's my living expenses until my pension kicks in in 8yrs totally screwed.

Probably best that I just sit tight!

Thoth - as you say, 'a tiny microcap in the uk.' So the follow up question would be, if the Chinese govt. wre bankrolling things, why didn't they buy out SAR back then for peanuts? They might be crazy but they ain't stupid.
