Hi Mafuta, I've often wondered what mechanism the MMs use to uplift the sp when a company's value is in intellectual property rather than making widgets.

Whilst you or I may think a patent grant at this stage is worth adding, say, 2p or more to the sp, I doubt the MMs have the time or inclination to fully understand the rammifications. Is it a case of them initially just adding an arbitrary 10% then waiting for the market to react? Or do they rely on an external body to give them guidance? If so, maybe that body need to improve their own understanding of what we have.

Sadly the market only grows because people require treatment - it got my friend a few months ago. Still, at least people work on better treatments for this and other terrible illnesses each day.

Plus let's not forget what Thoth (I think it was him anyway) also suggested - what if 1801 turns out to be another penicillin?

SAR run a tight ship so I'd be surprised if news (good or bad) slipped out ahead of any official word.

What I do expect is for details of the submarine patent to be the final part of the jigsaw i.e. our shop window will be as complete as it can be and any big pharma can now calculate full potential value if things pan out.

GlenFidrich - I expect that page on the IPO site will still be showing 'pending' tomorrow unless by some miracle the patent is granted exactly 18mths after being lodged. We may still be over a year away from having the patent granted (see link to patent timeline below).

What we should find out at some point after today is what the patent is actually for. It might be a pill to act on the cytokine storm or it might be for something completely different. Whatever it's for, there's probably an RNS already prepared and sitting on a laptop at SAR HQ.

Whilst I understand the FOI's incomplete response based on time/cost, I would've expected them to at least supply a copy of the final report (assuming it has been done). Perhaps they simply take the FOI request in sequence and since the first part of the request was a non-starter, they stop there. Seems an odd approach if that's the case.

Hi Spurs, not sure if we'll get an RNS next Wed/Thurs re the secret patent application for 'Crystalline forms of a pharmaceutical compound' as the 18mth 'submarine' period will be up, but I at least we know news on it is imminent. Perhaps Stephen Parker will slip out a wee tweet on Tuesday alluding to what that compound is.

(If Stephen is reading this, keep up the good work and do feel free to drop a subtle hint over the weekend.)
