Just topped up ... maybe too soon in the day but medium term this has to be a good bet.
Not sure the math is right with these figures ... 10% reduction no?
Noticed that as well ... what's going on with Jayne-Anne Gadhia
“Trading since the end of the quarter is such that we expect to deliver full year results in line with expectations,” said Alison Brittain, chief executive officer of Whitbread" Good enough for me .... bought back in.
Interesting share this one ... probably the only one Ive managed to successfully trade over the year due to its yoyo share price. Currently out of it but keep seeing Costas full of people so they're doing something right
Not a bad RNS and potential oil price increases could get a few more bums back on the buses.... seems to have been down for a while but divi holding so happy to sit in long term
Virgin Trains has reported a rise in the number of passengers using its cross-border rail services over the last six months. The company said more than 5,000 extra passengers were travelling on its trains each week between Edinburgh and Newcastle. It said the 7% growth came after it added 42 new services a week on the East Coast Main Line. The rail firm has promised to invest £140m to upgrade its services. An overhaul of first class lounges - including at Edinburgh Waverley and the launch of a new menu designed by chef James Martin is being completed, while onboard entertainment and wi-fi services have also been improved. 'Positive response' Between May and September, the number of passengers crossing the border in each direction on the east coast route grew by 7% compared to the same period last year. The company said the timetable overhaul, which came into force in May, was the first major step in transforming east coast services between Edinburgh and London. In December, Virgin will introduce a further three services on Sundays and a late-night service to Newcastle on Friday evenings.
Happy with that given everything else that is going on. No doubt it'll still be up and down for a while but now offering quite a nice yield on the current SP
Maybe not so good ... At the same time, the ORR has also approved an application from FirstGroup to run open access services between London and Edinburgh with firm rights from May 2021. As noted by the ORR, when these services commence they are expected to impact revenue from VTEC services.
Oh dear ... More customer friendly results it would appear. ...
.... on my part but there seems to have been a few good results for the bookies lately ... grand national and scottish national, Villa beating liverpool, scottish cup semi-finals .... With approaching election and more scope for profit perhaps things might be turning around for LAD ... looking forward to results - will determine if Im out at a loss out or staying in GLA
Thought lad were only paying first four EW
Price monitoring RNS ... New one on me however let's hope ithere's more to come tomorrow
What just happened?
Plenty mug punters ... I work with them every day and they bet on more stupid things than ever... Number of sending offs etc. As someone who bought in fairly high on this turkey however I do agree that ladbrokes aren't very good at catching the mugs as I know very few people who use them online by choice. Radical rethink needed but I'm in long term now so can only hope GLA
£2 a share would be nice :) Any link to this?
You've made a few good calls on this Keith but I don't think the results are bad as such and there is still some room for optimism at the current SP. Probably have a better idea in 6 months which is longer than I had hoped to be in this for but at least the divi ain't too shabby Gla
Should get a better idea next week when interim results published however WMH published improved results and the share price didnt move. I think I may need to keep this share for a while before I see any return
