No idea how this will impact SP but I take confidence in
“ "Since 13 March, the company has returned to profitability and to a positive cash flow, and is cautiously optimistic about the prospect of a return to relative normality in FY23.”
Glad to report that spoons in Edinburgh airport was rammed at 7AM yesterday. I’m pretty sure price for a pint or bottle of wine could rise by 50p to a £1 and spoons would still be in the blue. No brainer imho.

Visited London last week. Couldn’t get a seat in Moon under Water on Leicester square during the day or night. I guess this is likely to be one of the busier spoons but anecdotal evidence would suggest they’re recovering well.
Added a few more myself after visiting another spoons at weekend and was pleased to see it rammed. Goodness knows what is going on in the background but seems cheap to me.
Stay with it. Personally don’t believe in averaging down but been through this before. It might take a year but you’ll get your money back. Fwiw my average is £1.85 … I’m p1ss3d off (with myself) however Im still confident this will turn.
Retail sales volumes rose by 0.8% in October 2021, from a revised unchanged (0.0%) position between August and September (previous estimate was a 0.2% fall); volumes were 5.8% higher than their pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic February 2020 levels.
Non-food stores was the only main retail sector that saw a rise in sales volumes, increasing by 4.2% in October 2021, because of growth in other non-food stores (7.2%), such as second-hand stores, toy stores and sports equipment stores, and clothing stores (6.2%).
Clothing stores sales volumes in October 2021 were only 0.5% below pre-pandemic levels in February 2020, with some retailers suggesting that early Christmas trading had boosted sales.
Automotive fuel sales volumes fell by 6.4% in October 2021 as they returned to more typical recent levels following strong growth in September; volumes were 5.0% below their February 2020 levels.
Food store sales volumes fell by 0.3% in October 2021; despite the fall in October, volumes were 3.4% above pre-coronavirus pandemic levels in February 2020.
The proportion of retail sales online fell to 27.3% in October 2021, its lowest proportion since March 2020 (22.5%) but still substantially higher than the 19.7% in February 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s madness. We are allowed to travel to Liverpool to board the ship but can’t board it in Greenock or get off it despite being double vaccinated and tested. However we can visit the fan zone in Glasgow with another 6000 people who have had no vaccine or been tested with the drink flowing and people celebrating after Scotland stuff England in Euros(??obv the last part in my dreams)
On June 26, Celebrity Edge will become the first oceangoing cruise ship to sail from US waters in more than a year.
It’s not Carnival but another sign that things are changing
Carnival PLC has stock that primarily trades on the London Stock Exchange. However, to make things even more complicated, shares of Carnival PLC are also available on the NYSE under the different ticker symbol CUK. That means U.S. investors have easy access to two separate stocks -- both of which are tied to Carnival.
As Carnival explains it, shareholders of both entities have the same economic and voting interests. Their respective businesses are combined, and they have contractual agreements with each other to ensure that they operate in unison. Both have also paid the same dividends, prior to Carnival's recent decision to suspend payouts in light of the current economic crisis.
So why is one Carnival stock cheaper than the other?
There's one big difference between the two entities: The two stocks don't trade at the same price. Lately, shares trading under the ticker CCL have routinely traded at a premium price to those with the ticker CUK.
“Bought £1m of this at £1.90... stupidly sold 500k worth at £2.20.“
Did yeh, aye”
Re presentations - on 20th September "Management presentations with interested parties currently being held in Bogotá"
Its difficult to assess how long these presentations take or what the scope/objective/follow-up of these presentations are. However as you state there has been no evidence that there has been any delays in the process.
