The London stock exchange only reports them as a trade not a buy or a sell ( technically every trade is both a buy and a sell). This website just guesses as to whether it was a buy or sell and it is not always accurate - especially when spreads are tight and during periods of high volume/volatility.

It uses the mid price as a guide, so with bid at 0.5 and ask at 0.55 - any trades above 0.525 will be called a buy and any trades below 0.525 will be called a sell.

My understanding is its more like a deferred payment Dai. DQE are drilling the wells - but will take payment out later from the sold oil profits rather than paying for the drill upfront. Something like that anyway.

I can't help feel it is being held back. Trying not to be looking through rose tinted glasses - but it is company changing news. It has spiked before way above current level on rumours but now it is actually here it has moved relatively little.

production money for Heron 1 is ringfenced - once in production it should be self funding

they do have a loan facility available which they can use, and likely will to get the extra wells drilled asap.

no actual evidence that they need to do a placing at this time.

I would have never known that Mali has some troubles without your wise words.

They already have an oil discovery, resource potential 500MMbo, Heron 1 well has already been drilled, tested and capped. Ready to go into production - but they needed land access rights in order to proceed.

5 year wait - and they now have the land permit finally granted. Yak herders have their compensation and the local leader finally finally signed it. So Heron 1 can go straight into production without any drilling. All equipment is in storage on site ready to go, so should just require a crane and manpower, could be in production in just a couple of month - theoretically. Money for this is ringfenced.

but another 2-3 drills could be planned for by end of the year now.
