I've only ever swing traded matd, but did get caught out a bit on this one as that fund raise was not expected

heron1 money was supposed to be ringfenced then self funding from its production

I had thought getting heron 1 online first then be self funding was the plan guess after years or delays, they have to jump at the chance of progress asap.

I thought that the crew were busy elsewhere from Q3 - so time get heron 1 running but not enough time to do any other drilling. But maybe they have been given the chance of drilling heron 2 also so wanted the funds fast?

Odd why they would also tag on funds for an exploration well on top though. Surely that will not be happening anytime too soon, so they could have raised those funs later at a higher price. Or a loan or self funded with h1 and 2 being online.

Cynical me would say its just another way to get rid of some PI and do some mates rates to II

No heron2 will need to be drilled - hence the raise. I don't think they would have needed it to get h1 into production.

Makes sense really 2 wells is better than 1 and they already know the oil is there.

On the upside though if they do get heron 1 into production by end of july and a heron 2 drilled and producing in next couple month - it surely will get a huge bounce
