I was intending to buy in at one point but then started steering away from looking for long termers as felt I have too many already

I was previously invested in IRR seemed to be a well run company on the up, which split into ALL and RICCA, I did make some money from them

so when ricca funded frg I was interested in it as I believed ricca had a strong team, so if frg was good enough for them it was good enough for me! I almost bought in around 12p mark around a year ago. not looked since then.

Though I have freed up some investments since then and may get tempted to give it another look, cursory glance over there does look interesting still

there is a difference between a Zimbabwe diamond average price and a marange field diamond, which that article has failed to address, not the best jounalism

still a lot of dosh and covers debts - however some of the prices flying around have been just ridiculous, please do a realiy check

That article has overestimated the value of the diamonds IMHO - they state that zimbabwe diamonds are average $400 per carat and go on to use a 'low' figure of $300 per carat

but if you look at marange area diamonds prices - our resident expert has stated $90 and if you do not believe him - wikipedia states under $50

I had in mind a target of 7p - as that would give 40% and not an unreasonable thing to aim for

looking strong today as we get close to drill completion

but it's a production well, not a drill or dust - so if it goes to plan there is no reason for it not to get back to 10p+

sp looks to be consolidating after the spike, hopefully get steady rise now - target depth must be getting close, on sunday 14th they were at depth of 11,660ft and target is 13,000ft

There will always be some risk remaining - until it is finally signed off and settled, so not fully priced in IMHO

the way 'I' see it, if you look just at Bougouni, the deal was done at 0.5p for half of the project

logically you can therefore put a price of 1p on the project - so you could potentially see a further 20% boost to SP on completion

but how much do you value the rest of Kodal? Surely that is not free?

some of the funding is going to be used to progress other projects - so once money is received it is not inconceivable to to get a further boost and it is certainly not outside the realms of possibility to get your 50%

Not as much volume today on vast, rising into close but not wanting to leave it in overnight as could just as easily slip back down into its old range tomorrow, so bailed at 0.75, no profit no loss. I am content with that

trying to delay a debt call by a month - what if they do not get it extended?

even if they do, there is still no guarantee they will get the diamonds before the next deadline. They would still need to be cleaned and valued which would surely take a couple of weeks itself. Then put out to tender for sale. Will get much less value using tender process - but they cant wait till july/august for the next auction.

very much a flip of the coin play imho so I would not risk putting loads into it, though happy to risk my 'free' ones lol😂

For capricorn if you do not need the money for a while, reinvesting the divi may indeed be the best play. you would be effectively averaging down but at no additional overall cost - which gives you increased profit when SP recovers ( which they usually do over time after a dividend payment ) Will give you a bigger slice of any potential future divi and the company is doing more share buybacks which should increase share value too once things settle down
