RE: World of Trump Wars7 Apr 2025 08:09
On the upside, there are some ftse bargains again for long term investments - though there could well be further to drop worth watching for the inevitable turn around
lloyds and legal and general have both dipped but were on nice uptrends before the trump fiasco
dec had recovered a bit, then dropped back making it dip back under 9 quid a share
glencore has been on a looong downtrend anyway, but quickened by trump - could be a good turnaround there - if it does turn, could be going down for a few more months but one to watch for sure
and check out CCL - it recovered over 6 month from last august - but recently lost it all. I am definitely watching this one. the potential to gain 100% on a FTSE share....it has been over Β£20 recently so it can get back there again. No divis on it yet - but they could get reinstated too at some point and last year they had record numbers of bookings so appetite for cruising is still there ( and anecdotal evidence - my parents actually have 3 cruises booked for this year and one for next year!)
