Spreads to large to tempt anyone !

I would have hoped to have seen some at this low price.
The lack of any so far ,does not fill me with any confidence.
I am now left wondering, just how soft this half might be ?

Either some of the recent job descriptions have been written badly, or they are factually correct. They say that Utilitywise has 38,000 customers , and if that’s the correct number , it shows that there has been zero growth. If that is the case, then investors should be concerned, and the CEO will have made no headway whatsoever towards his targets. I also agree that I would like to see some directors buying . On a positive note, customer numbers have not shrunk, and there have been no major costs such as the relocation a couple of years ago, or acquisitions.

I see from the Utilitywsies job section, that they will be going into insurance soon. Hopefully it’s not going to be a case of Jack of all trades, master of none.

I will repeat, at todays price I am not over concerned, however, I am concerned that these targets are somewhat fanciful and am confused as to why they felt it necessary to issue this slightly odd RNS , as without any hard figures , its pretty meaningless.

Am I alone in thinking this is corporate waffle ? Why would you put at an RNS like this? No numbers, no detail, just waffle. Have some major shareholders been having a bash at BF and asked him to explain just how he is going to reach those ridiculous targets ? I hope I am wrong, but it reads to me, that so far little to no headway has been made .

Although I take some of your points on board, and know that the situation is far from perfect, my view is that at least there is some positivity going forward.
As long as their customer retention is good, then there is no way is the company in danger of going bust in the near future.
As I might have said on here before, worst case scenario is that they close the doors, retain a handful of staff in order to service and retain existing customers, and make a tidy profit or become a take over target.
At the current price, to me it looks like a very good gamble.
The next set of results will be interesting, and we will see just how "Soft" this recent half has been.
I don't see how you can say that they have zero credibility when the likes of Vodafone and Dell are prepared to partner with them.

I cant agree with you on your comments.

The news infers that Vodafone sales people will be also be selling the product, so therefore UTW have indirect access to their customers.

Secondly, the number of office blocks, shops, hotels, industrial buildings etc in this country is huge.

(The collaboration extends from technology, to a joint go-to-market strategy in the UK involving Vodafone and Utilitywise sales teams taking the platform to market, engaging across existing and prospect customer bases.)

With energy prices rapidly escalating, most large businesses would have a need for this type of product and would derive long term benefit from it !

Therefore I think there is a great market potential for the product.

Having read the RNS again, it looks like UTW have now got access to the Vodafone customer base.

I think this deal offers a fantastic domestic and international opportunity and helps to de risk the brokerage aspect that some investors may worry about..

With the P/e so ridiculously low, this has to be a steal at this price !

Potential to be a huge market, and with the Vodafone sales force helping out, this company is hardly a dead duck.

I see there are three ex UTW employees as you have pointed out, although I can not find any reference to the ex CEO being linked to the company in any way. Secondly, you make assumptions that UTW has been one of the unscrupulous companies Surely , this claims business has been set up to target the unscrupulous brokers who fiddle customers and add no value ? I would have thought UTW adds value through a whole range of services, have invested in Compliance, TPI code etc etc

I wouldn't get too excited by that, as they have been mentioning it for years (And didn't even dip into their pockets when the price was rock bottom.
