The head of Orphan Product Development has resigned as the FDA is proposing changes to its rare-disease policy aiming to speed up review and conditional approval of therapies.

The FDA is using "carryover" funds from user fees to continue operations and retain a large portion (around 86%) of its staff. However, the efficiency of these reviews is affected by reduced staffing.

The shutdown has caused disruptions in communication between the FDA and applicants, which can slow down program timelines.

Routine facility inspections and advisory committee meetings that may be necessary for the final approval of a drug might be postponed or cancelled.

I would argue Holding can be very meaningful at times. Removing all those - there have still be regular updates since RonJon entered the company. There were two updates 8/9 days ago. I remain hopeful too.

There have been approximately 6 updates per month in recent times and I would expect that rate to continue.

The 30% Cavendish growth figure for 2026 was a reference to a specific performance-based incentive for company executives, not a general forecast for investors. Part of Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) made in 2024. Then, RFK jr / Trump etc...

Price back to what is was 2 weeks ago. Long way for this to get back up to decent SP again, in line with expectations was the last update and they seemed to have managed the headwinds well and hoping this represents the bottom going forward.

Looking forward to these interims when they come. Hoping the way forward includes some optomism in among it. Must be soon.

There seems to be a very clear strategy, a clear strategic plan, well communicated.

Great clarity in the last RNS, effectively, broadly, showing the planning out for the company towards commercialisation and beyond. Warrants. Meh. Big dips not nice but if the investment is an investment, then, all being well, in 12 months no-one will care about them.

Love to see it. Slowly ticking upwards.

Overview

Current cash-driven revenue stems from MicroTox LX instruments, associated reagents, and the CTM project in Qatar.

Emerging and future revenue streams include SRB test kits, mobile PFAS detection, pathogen detection, and the Tethys Purity integrated solution.

1. MicroTox® LX

Flagship instrument driving strong sales in H1 2025, with firm orders rising from 27 to 34 units. Production is currently at 3 units per week, with capacity to scale further.

2. Continuous Toxicity Monitors (CTMs)

Installed a 27-machine CTM system in Doha, Qatar, part of a major water-safety project. Doha will be among the only cities with 24/7 early-warning monitoring for water toxins. Revenue of £386,000 was recognized from this project in H1 2025.

3. Sulphate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) Test Kits

Launched in June 2025, SRB kits have begun production and delivery, representing a new revenue stream anticipated to ramp up in H2 2025.

4. Mobile PFAS Detection Platform

Proprietary technology for detecting “forever chemicals” (PFAS) through mobile, in-field testing.

Field trials in Wales were successful, and Metir is now collaborating with a U.S. specialist and Swansea University to optimise it further—with the ambition to become a global leader in mobile PFAS detection equipment.

5. Pathogen Detector (Real-Time Monitoring)

Currently in commercial testing, developed in partnership with Aptamer Group plc. It focuses on real-time pathogen detection in water or environments.

6. Tethys Purity® Solution

Following integration of Microsaic’s miniaturised mass spectrometry tech with Modern Water’s toxin detection portfolio, the Tethys Purity® system offers combined real-time detection and analysis of environmental pollutants.
