I think he is suggesting that the dividend won't return to normal levels straight away and so will only be a few percent for a while. Hold it long enough then yes the dividend yield will go up for these shares you hold if they keep increasing the dividend.

Last time market went on a run it reached about 90p so I agree if there is good news or a vaccine this could well get up there then hover about.

Indeed it has done 130% in a week before. So even getting back to 180 ish wouldn't be too much of an ask with good news in the markets.

No one really knows the buys/sells. They can make a good guess but sometimes it can be either and people have reported their own trades have been reported wrongly. So yes, use with caution. Best to focus on how good a company is and whether it is a fair price and in the long run you will be making money of it. Not what the price is doing today, tomorrow, or next friday.

You can never time it right and get the bottom. Best you can do is average in. However, think about this. After the crash this share did 25% some days. I saw some shares regularly make 6 - 7% a day for a couple of weeks. Good news about a vaccine or increased travel uses, or lockdown eases will make this move. And yes, 18% is nothing. Last summer I was down 20% on barratt homes and sold out for about 40% profit four months later.

Anything you can earn back in a week shouldn't be too upset about, a month you feel bad but no real substantial loss. A year's worth of saving then you might feel stupid and annoyed. Anything life changing and then maybe worry. In my view anyway...

That's the world of shares. If it causes worry or sleepless nights, you've chosen the wrong share, wrong level of investment, or both...

True. I saw this go up silly amounts many. Times after the crash and missed out. The fact is this company is good and he only thing stopping it making money will be a pandemic that goes on for another couple of years.

Yes, but there should be vaccine news within the next six weeks with oxford/astrazeneca one (just one of many remember) finishing up phase 3 trials soon (and by all accounts so far it will work quite effectively.). Not saying it will be £2 but vaccine/treatment news will shift this.

However, from my point of view, by the time I retire in 35 years, it won't matter if I paid, 10%, 20% more and it takes a year, two years to move... it will be higher in the next few years for sure, barring anything like a worse pandemic and a massive world war...

I must admit I did disagree with FL's valuation at £1 and NAV being around the SP now. The SP now puts it at a market cap of £770m, but you can easily read in its update it had assets over £1b as well as cash, so NAV surely should be higher...

Been holding these for a while, though at a loss now but topping up and seeing value so sold some shares in another account and going to buy in that as well.

Used the company quite a bit and like it a lot, I even considered working for them for a while - though pandemic hit...
