Crowman - redundancy cashflows in large businesses do not operate in such a negative fashion. The "payoff" is vastly outweighed by forecasted savings on things like pension liabilities etc. They won't need to raise cash from the markets to pay for redundancies. Hence why the market liked the announcement in the first place.
