Whilst I'd prefer sanctions to rockets they will only work if they have a large impact.

The fiddling around such as the Germans reducing gas imports gradually over a 5 year period haven't worked, so hopefully Putin's game plan has finally been recognised by Trump and India & others play their part now.

I doubt that the environmental risk would even register in Milibrain's solitary cell. He's in the camp that believes that if the pollution is in a factory 6,000 miles away and then transported here, then the 'reduction' in our carbon footprint is a positive.

I did pull the trigger yesterday @1.68 figuring they've been pushed down too far already & that the 3 day rule wouldn't apply. If I'm a few % off I can live with that as a longer term hold.

I'd be OK with missing the special too, although it might push the sp down a bit more, if it's used to reduce borrowings.

Sadly I know but I watched the "debate" in the commons on the second reading.

Approx 20/25 mps in attendance* to hear the minister tell us once again what a blinding deal Rodders had done plus it protects our national security forever. No, putting up tax and borrowing money to rent something you own is not a great deal and I'm afraid China is a threat no matter how far you bury your head in the sand.

Then at the division bell 400 or 500 suddenly appear from their subsidised bars and vote on something they've not heard.

Fair enough if anyone is simple enough to not understand the facts but I would urge everyone to read up on this and spread what is going on.

I live in the sticks too and you are spot on re the lack of understanding the govt has of how it works, but then again that seems to be the case with schools, business, energy, crimes, etc etc. Many people I know are just keeping their heads down and hoping they can survive and there's something to salvage when they get booted out in 3.5 years time. The rest have either left or are trying to.

Whilst the ending of the hostilities in the middle east puts putin's atrocities firmly in the spotlight I'm not convinced he has the integrity or intelligence to stop.

The UK government's hapless running of the country has now descended to the norm being weekly violent unrest on the streets and rampant antisemitism. The justice system and police force are happy to concentrate on nasty tweets whilst shoplifting, petty crime etc. are openly ignored.

This is all being watched by an enormous global audience and when, for example, ordinary citizens of the UK are too scared to venture into London or go out after dark in many towns and cities, they can't be expected to risk a trip here.

Watched a live feed earlier today where an English chap with a Union Flag was escorted from Trafalgar Square to avoid further upsetting the masked mainly foreigners waving their Hamas flags whilst celebrating the synagogue attack by Jihad Al-Shamie, which translates to Holy War The Syrian.

For those who know their history it appears Rodders is clearly adopting the scorched earth policy.

I'd love to hear another theory but surely the plan is either deliberate destruction or they plan to outlaw any opposition from standing. I guess with the numbers now arriving and being fast tracked they could try and repeat blair's trick of telling them they'll be sent home if they don't vote labour but that isn't guaranteed long term as we saw in 2010.
