Oil prices have declined circa 12/13% over the last 12 months due primarily to oversupply.

Also added a few just under the 1.00 as a so/so report imho but still a 4.5% drop.

Digital I.D. cards dropped.

Only another 200-300 u turns to go.

I agree re MNG but personally would always recommend spreading risk.

With this government's economic illiteracy & scattershot approach that targets anything that makes money they will turn on the insurance industry sooner or later.

Whilst you can live without going to the pub, enjoying a holiday or a new settee you can't without food* so TSCO & SBRY should survive the next 3.5 years.

*It took them 18 months to work that one out with the farmers but they eventually got it.

It very much depends on your age (years to retirement) financial circumstances and attitude to risk.

Sainsburys normally pay slightly higher dividends but have Argos hanging around their neck.

Tescos are less risky.

I've split my investment between the two with a 2:1 bias in favour of Tescos.

All in my opinion, DYOR etc.

The share price today is only relevant if you're actually buying or selling today.

Ask yourself who sets the prices and therefore who is likely to gain the most.

Same thing is happening with Tescos atm.

Even allowing for covid & putrid the Tories didn't do well so it takes something else to screw things up so badly with the bar so low.

Seems to mean change their flipping minds every 5 minutes.

No doubt the usual suspects will proclaim the latest u-turn as marvellous & that they're listening to us, I just wish they'd listen a bit quicker and not put so many people through the wringer.

Or better still talk to those in the know beforehand.

Ps Might be a similar opportunity with Sainsburys results tomorrow.

With computers making so many buy/sell decisions they just need to give the direction a slight push.

IMHO you need to take these opportunities when they arise.
