I bought Petrofac at 628 and sold it 1% higher. I was surprised it didn’t get sold again when the ftse did. I have a feeling it could get sold again tomorrow. As most other oil related stocks came off.

I’m long as of 4:28 today so let’s hope the US bond market opening again tomorrow will provide a bounce after the Friday sell off.

What is the consensus for Non Farms ? Is there anywhere that publishes as soon as it comes out?

I guess the longer oil is at these levels the more chance of new contract wins, this is what I am hoping for. Do they have to announce new contract wins as soon as they get them or will they announce them at next results?

Anyone else feel like Trump talking about China trying to influence the mid-terms is his way of trying to manipulate voters to back his strategy with China. Is this how he gets public backing to step up pressure with more tariffs?

I imagine that each Blackrock fund will have different investment strategies e.g. long/short or long only etc so they probably dont mind having offseting positions as they will attract different retail customers.

Agreed... I found it strange that Trump puts sanctions on Iran the reduces oil supply, then tells OPEC to increase production..... It was never going to happen. He is one of the reasons oil prices are going up.

I guess the big guys that are short probably think, if I can keep this from closing the day up 2% on a day where energy stocks are flying, then it will be easier to sell down on other days?

It's so strange how this company trades intraday. I'm guessing because its small it means people can push up/down the price quite easily if they are a big player?

Looks like PF outperformed WG over the past three months.

But there will be a fundamental reason for shorting the stock right? Wood Group up 3% today, hopefully Petrofac rises too .

All the small E&P companies in the FTSE250 are up, Wood Group (John) is up. The market really doesnt like PFC do they :(
