That's not true either I'm afraid as it's not like a 100m race otherwise the fastest runner (miner) would indeed win every time. Instead think of it as a treasure hunt where everybody else is searching in an area that is 2.6x larger. The other treasure hunters (miners) could still get lucky and find the treasure first but it is just much less likely.
That's assuming of course that what QBT is claiming translates to reality which is a very big if (at least according to the market).
