But the more deals there are the lower the increase in revenue is to miners (and the share of that revenue to QBT).

If they sign up 5% of miners the 2.6x becomes 2.4x

If they sign up 20% of miners the 2.6x becomes 2x

If they sign up 50% of miners the 2.6x becomes 1.4x

If they sign up 100% of miners the 2.6x becomes 1x (i.e. no increase at all in revenue).

It is in interests of both the miners and QBT to optimise the roll-out so they don't end up diluting the impact too much.

Exactly that biglad6 - you only need one of these type of shares to come good to make up for the rest and who knows, this could be the one. You might have added to your rogues gallery HE1 (another one that is going on right now), IOG and CINE. Plenty more examples out there and not all on AIM.

Seriously Suthy? You obviously haven't counted your own posts or Jambone's (today and every day). They also haven't all been negative. In fact as you seem still not to understand I will try and make it clear (again). I think this stock is GOOD VALUE as I think the VERY HIGH REWARDS for SUCCESS justify the longish odds of there being a deal (based on 2.6x).

I just don't agree with the non-stop, repetitive and misleading ramping of you, Jambone and some others. I dislike trolls but I dislike extreme rampers even more as I think they are are much more of a danger to other people's pockets. But just my view.

But if you think I'm a trader then fine. I've been called a lot worse and by far better people.

I find your naivety somewhat touching Jambone but also quite sad. At some point it is in for a rude awakening, maybe not with QBT but certainly somewhere down the road if you keep putting your faith simply in what AIM CEO's say.

That 5-10% is clearly higher than what most people think (that's evident in the share price) so I'm one of the more optimistic ones! You could argue that the sp is low only because many are simply unaware of QBT but in the FOMO driven world of crypto where any rumour, however obscure, gets pounced upon I find that very hard to believe. I think it is more to do with people's natural scepitcism that something which sounds too good to be true generally turns out to be exactly that and each passing day without real news only goes to re-enforce this. If you're much more confident then good on you and hopefully you'll soon be rewarded handsomely - and me too :-)

Of course it is which simply reflects the lack of belief in the market that such a product really does exist. You may be confident, others may be confident but there are not enough who are confident (yet) to push the sp anywhere near to what it will be if it actually materialises. It's make or break on news and all we can do is wait and in the meantime act on our own view of what the likelihood is - which for me is 5 to 10% which makes it well worth the risk. Many more dodgy videos though will probably tell me it's time to think again.

Of course it’s about playing the percentages but even having a very good idea of those would still make someone very rich very quickly. Reality is however we like to dress it up and whatever method we use we are all just guessing and the best we can hope for is to be a little bit better at it than others.

Well, if anybody KNEW what would happen BEFORE it happened then they’d be very rich very quickly. Nobody does which is half the fun.

I agree Voltaire, that and general macro/market sentiment which helped BOO rise before Xmas but now is having the opposite effect.

They may all be wanting to sign but if they all do then nobody will mine any extra BTC so would expect some kind of exclusivity to be part of the agreement.

More to the point why bother doing all that if we were that close? Just wait for the news to happen if it’s so close anyway.

I will sell if I get to breakeven as I'm not going to pay the price again for being greedy and it would also be the first time I have been caught in a sinking business and not gone down with the ship. That would be a sweeter 'victory' to me than any gain on a share!

I don't think stubbornness is a good trait in investing so not to be admired! I should have got out when I first started having serious doubts around the 80p mark but I was greedy and didn't want to exit on a dip (that then turned into a freefall).

I did eventually sell most of them and bought US miners which have more than made up for my ARB losses. I even then averaged down on ARB when the BTC tide started to turn as a rising tide lifts all boats. So now not only am I up on Crypto generally but I am also much closer to break even on ARB (in pounds) although by banking some of the recent rises (including some more at 34p) I push the breakeven price further away each time. I now need 52p to breakeven.

It's still not been a good strategy though as I would have been much better off just focusing on CLSK, MARA etc. rather than keeping some interest here but that's my stubbornness getting in the way again!

Chuz - I don't think anybody is really daft enough to think ARB can get back to £3. More likely I think they are just the usual pump and dump merchants trying to prey on other people's FOMO.

One thing we can be quite sure of though is that like the previous set of rampers who would hear nothing bad against BTC, ARB or PW they will all quietly disappear when reality finally strikes for ARB (if they haven't already dumped first). As usual in these circumstances somebody is left holding the bags eventually.

In the meantime nobody can deny that it's an exciting ride up and who knows I may even end up in profit here at last :-)

Dagenham - I agree that fundamentals don't matter in the short term but who is saying that? All that Chuz and others like myself are saying is that ARB do not have the financial strength compared to their peers to thrive as a business longer term and it would take an extraordinary set of circumstances for that to change. We are seeing the worst of the £3 ramping crowd again (just look at the title of this thread) but even if the sp gets to £1 in the near future it's very unlikely to change where ARB will be in two years time.

Yes, but QBT isn't a mining company (though it might be one day) and if anything has more in common with software businesses. In any event a valuation by simply looking at the value of other companies is meaningless with so little in common. The value will be determined by how close to their 2.6x claim they are and what share of revenue they can negotiate with miners - they have little cost to worry about so a completely different model to miners who are so capital intensive and much more at the mercy of BTC price.

I think if they are anywhere close to their 2.6x claims and can negotiate half-decent deals then £300m mcap is VERY conservative but that's because of the huge revenue potential with a healthy dollop of sentiment on top - not the value of miners (who range so widely from about $100m to $5bn I think). As always it depends on what they really have beyond words and hype. It's likely to be boom or bust in my view - I can't really see much in between - and 2024 is very likely to be the year we find out which.
