Just expanding on JHFH’s excellent post, my thoughts…
Hemogenyx have confirmed they are fully funded to take their product candidates forward into human clinical trials and complete proof of concept with over £6.8m cash in the bank. Lead product candidates are as follows:
HEMO CAR-T: Hemogenyx are at an advanced stage of completing their application for an Investigational New Drug (IND). Hemogenyx expect to be in a position to commence human clinical trials as soon as IND designation has been granted. As the chairman stated that clinical trials are expected to commence ‘in a matter of months’ it is my understanding that their IND application is imminent.
CBR: Is a highly valuable new method of creating immunotherapy treatments to treat any viral infection (this is sometimes referred to as ‘Disease X’) and is a totally unique approach in the treatment of blood disorders. Hemogenyx believe the technology will attract interest from a wide range of partners.
CDX: Following a valuable contribution in the development of the HEMO CDX antibody from Eli Lilly, for which Hemogenyx have an exclusive worldwide license, Hemogenyx believe there will be significant interest from financial and strategic partners to take the asset forward into animal toxicity studies and clinical trials.
It is worth noting that Hemogenyx have IP protection for all of the above, as well as Hu-PHEC, which is yet another product candidate with huge potential. With the exception of elements of CDX, Hemogenyx have full ownership of all their product candidates.
It has been confirmed that Hemogenyx have now moved into their new purpose built laboratory and now have the capability to develop and manufacture their own drugs, such as CAR, as well as providing this service to other companies, which will save them substantial amounts of money on outsourcing as well as potentially providing an early revenue stream. To this end they are looking to double their scientific workforce within two years.
In summary Hemogenyx are now on the verge of an inflection point, moving from an R&D pre-clinical company to a fully fledged clinical company in a matter of months, with their product candidates becoming twenty to thirty times more valuable than they are now once proof of concept is achieved later this year.
All of the BOD are heavily invested with the Chairman, Sir Marc Feldmann even taking the majority of his salary in shares and is worth noting that Hemogenyx are collaborating with world leading companies and organisations and some of the best scientists in the world in their field, especially in the development of HEMO CAR-T and CDX.
I believe a very exciting year is ahead for investors as at least one if not two product candidates will enter human clinical trials in the near future. I think it’s reasonable to expect the market capitalisation of Hemogenyx to rise between three and five fold over the coming months.
DYOR.
