If WSG managed to survive Ebola which killed 50% of those infected, at a time when that was virtually all the company's income then I think we will get through this virus, y as Freetown is still flying(though I expect numbers to plummet v soon) and

1/. we have great revenues from Ghana
2/. Great revenues from tech contracts.........particularly fever detection atm
3/. we have those keyguard contracts

Don't think we will have the 100% growth this year as I had hoped but I still believe we will see revenue growth ...time will tell.

And the planes keep flying in Freetown, quite surprised, I would have thought it would have completely closed down now except for 3/4 flights a week

The point here is when we all go back to work, which we must do, virus detection will be needed. Fever screening is a blunt but reasonably efficient way of picking up who is sick so they can be sent home before entering businesses and venues of multiple descriptions. I think they will be selling a lot of these kits over the next 6 months . Hopefully enough to pick up the slack from the lost business at SL, time will tell.

Lunghi stayed open. Back then numbers flying were a lot lower than now. Numbers flying at the peak of the epidemic dropped 70%; Revenues from Freetown fell to £1.7million.
Ebola killed 50% of those infected.Corona 1%.
I think all flights too and from Europe to Freetown will be suspended but I think regional flights within Africa may well continue. This virus likes colder climates

I think this is Corona free. It is all about the oil price and the saudis and Russians sorting it out.

Then we need Total,Qatar and Africa Oil to buy out 30-40% of Tullow share of Orinduik.

The Scanport contract is in Ghana and is about scanning containers coming into a port.
The SL contract is in Sierra Leone and is an airport security contract. They continued operating there through Ebola which killed 50% of infected people. Corona is small beer in comparison. If any company is ready to deal with Corona, it has to be WSG. Hope that helps Vanda...you seem a little mixed up?

notice Saturdays figures and those two weeks ago. Those 2 weeks ago were the back end of the dip I mentioned. The last 2 weeks things have returned to just under where they were pre corona. Not sure if there were other reasons to explain dip(holidays, festivals etc). It's a useful tool to watch numbers, been using it for a year or more. Always good to get independent verification of company pronouncements.

Sierra Leone...I watch the figures and they remain OK. About 3 weeks ago they dropped about 25% for a week or two and then they bounced back and are about 14000 a month at the moment which is about the same as last year.
It remains to be seen how badly the virus will affect hot, humid developing countries. The populations are much younger in the developing world as well which will help.

I have just dealt with container numbers using what data we have available and extrapolating . We have no data on price per container, just conjecture from AGM.
Price noises at AGM were, we get the 'lions share' ......direct quote and
$5-20 per container is about as close we got to any range of numbers.
They won't tell us about any more meetings in KSA until they have something material to say. January's statement was a general trading update. As you well know they won't RNS, 'we had meetings in KSA with port authorities'..............you would be the first to criticise if they did!

Right, I will try and answer my own question.

numbers are based on daily average as per the RNS...6 months...180 days.
July and August 60 000
September-December 65 000 per month.....I think the numbers steadily rose from Sept 60 000 number

so 330 000 over 6 months...which is 56 000 per month.

In the first two months of 2020 we had a 59% increase............which adds up to 33000 extra per month.

89 000 per month x 12 = 1068000 per year run rate assuming no more growth.

However, third berth came into operation(December) hence more ship numbers being handled and the container handling area behind that berth will be available imminently , hence more capacity. Road infrastructure to the hinterland is also being upgraded.........volumes are just going to continue growing. 5 year contract, renewable every 5 years...nice.

I expect considerable KSA business to follow, a Francophone airport contract and more business in Ghana.
