Interesting suggestion - probably not militarily, but Sir Keir is right, and for once the UK is not going to support the US in doing something illegal in international law - even if we are letting them use our air bases. We can’t be law agnostics, even if we think breaking the law would be moral - in that sense, I think the Nuremberg war crimes trials came to a false and unapplicable conclusion because it gave armed service people not just the right to mutiny but the duty to mutiny - and that is impractical to say the least. You are saying ordinary squadies shoul,d be shot foit disobey9ing ordes, shot for following orders, and shot for desertion. But then, when was that post ww2 lobby ever interested in making sensible and enforceable guidelines? However, the law is the law, Trump and Netanyahu and Putoing - the three members of the AntiChrist movement - have never let a thing like law - never mind common decency - get in the way of getting what they want and delude themselves by self-justification is what they deserve, and world war 3 has surely kicked off now. Maybe it began when Trump demanded Greenland last year, before anyone suspected he actually meant it. That would make Nostradamus right - WW3 started in 2025 just as he said it would. World War II was defined as starting once all 3 axis powers were in combat with the invasion of Poland, not the official announcement of war a few days later, and as the US took no military action until this year, maybe not - but then it did didn’t it, there was the raid on Iran last year by the US - so maybe historians will look to 2025 as the first year of ww3 and that as its first action, because the US was directly involved.
