IF the worst did come to fruition what would the decommissioning costs be for Union Jack Oil an all concerned regarding West Newton ?!

The salient facts regarding West Newton are a) Reabold Resources are a small exploration company without any means of financing and developing the site themselves through to selling the gas (as stand alone product or electricity generation on site).. Read last years accounts; they will run out of money next year and b) with the present government in power for the next 4 years no major producer will gamble with with their shareholders money purchasing it.

So Reabold are now stuck with finance draining 'no go' 'assets' in California, Romania. Italy and East Yorkshire. And to compound these immense problems have at the helm 2 co directors who are each pulling over £300k + per year out of the company.

Persimmon on Reabold:

Regarding Rathlin page 5 of their last annual accounts says it all. If they cannot find further financing before the third quarter of 2025 they would be unable to continue as a going concern.

His sleeping off his £325,000 salary whilst share holders clearly sell at massive losses.

Negatives. Poor management with high remuneration. Not shareholder friendly. Cannot adhere to self imposed deadlines and openly lie to shareholders.

Wressle output declining. High spend on unsuccessful projects. Declining share price.

Positives. Wressle production.

The community have opposed this gas plant for years ! The obstacles were clear for Stephen an Sachin when they took it on with its risks. In this time they could have got the gas flowing at West Newton.

But there we go.

Update.

When I think back chatting with Kamran it was quite clear that Andrea, who is Italian, was very well versed on the big obstacles they would face in permitting Colle Santo.

But then Kamran an Andrea promised to get West Newton drilled as a priority...yet still is sits empty.

Lets see if Stephen an Sachin can still pull this all off...I watch with interest.

Time will tell here with Colle Santo but it isnt looking positive.
