Maybe he should bring to the boards attention the responses from the big Pharma that have FDA approved CAR-T therapies. He can tell the board how many patients have had CaR T therapy, how many have had good results and compare that to how many may have had a side effect that may or not may be related to the treatment

If raise was done before the SP went to 3p, I expect the raise would have been at c2p.

Then, if good news was shared, those who participated in the placing would dampen any rise by selling into it.

Dilution of existing holders would have been higher (more shares issued to raise the £500k) and no guarantee the SP would be at where it is now.

I'm not convinced a dilutive placing is ever going to feel gr8 to existing holders - until perhaps any raise is so big, with minimal or no dilution and with a clear value adding process

Go and check out the long term charts on BTC vs Gold; there are parallels for sure and I don't see many people questioning Gold.

You would not make Gold your only investments - neither would you QBT. But both could fill a very nice position in the portfolio of anyone

IMO - Having read the Broker Research notes and RNS over the last few years, it would not surprise me if the board of MMAG do believe that 'being bought' is in their best interests.

The rental market is high margin - but cashflow and profits will be spread across the life of the loan - unlike a straight sale.

This will impact revenue in the short term, but start to evolve the revenue model to deliver recurring cash flows. This helps to smooth out performance and reduces risk + volatility. This company would benefit hugely by being better funded - so would welcome a situation where their owners had deep pockets

There is nothing there that surprises me or hugely worries me - all seems to be in line with management expectations

I also note that you seemed to struggle with understanding the links between come of the financial metrics - Gross Profit excludes opex (Think employee costs, think marketing costs, think rent, rates and power)

the reality is big investors don't like and tend to refrain from buying shares in most companies of hemosize because of the potential to dilute holders. i am hoping that when #hemo make transition to clinical biotech, we'll get properly funded and start to attack a new cohort of investors.

In terms pg Phase 1 Trials....it's anyones guess

The duration of a clinical trial depends on several factors, including how long it takes to enroll participants and the main questions that the trial is designed to answer. In general, trial duration also varies by trial phase.

Phase I trials are the shortest. Most Phase I trials take less than a year to complete. If a Phase I trial is studying the effects of a single dose of a drug, it may take only few months from start to finish.

Not sure what you mean about 'declines'

The company has reported that trading was strong in Q2 and into Q3.

Q4 is typically a strong quarter with Black Friday and the iPhone launch impact

I think Hemo are funded til June/July - I've baked in £200k to accelerate IND and assume £500k on Phase 1 trials through to June/Jul

I'm just saying their underlying cash burn is an est.£300k per month - that excludes incremental one-off costs for Trials

I think they will be raising much more money in Q1 to fund Ph 2 trials. I also expect them to look at partnership funding models for CBR

Actually - I have just spotted an error in my workings - should have started the 12mth from July 23 (in error i started from now)

So my revised view is we are now funded until June/July 2024.

Hemo Cash available is £4.2m - there is no question about that .

If I'm close to being correct - when the final results come out we'll see H2 cash spend in the region of £2m (£2.5m max)

digit - i've laid out my logic - feel free to disagree with any of it

it was only my opinion and based on best estimates and logic.

the only thing that could be missing is any other one-offs hemo have incurred since june. but even with that i would suggest that imho hemo are funded into oct 2024

Small companies that are not cash generative yet need funding

When companies release good news - this invariable leads to a higher share price

When the share price is high and the company's shares are in demand is the right time to raise funding - I'm much happier to have raised a small amount at 2.375p that I would if it had been raised sub 2p.

Would anyone on here prefer that a small company raises ahead of good news? That feels like it would shaft existing shareholders and reward the new shareholders who get in at a discount.

It is what it is - the SP is where it was on Monday - hardly a disaster - my holding has been diluted by less than 2% and the company is now better funded.

CASH Situation

£3.1m in the Bank as at 30 Jun

£0.7m from Prevail direct Investment

£0.5m Placing at 2.375p

So £4.3m since 30 Jun

In H1 they spent £3.4m on operating activities + £0.3m on Lease - so £3.7m in total

this compared to £0.9m on operating activities + 'less than' £0.1m on Lease - so c£1.0m in total

H1 average cash spend was £600k per month (up from £150k per month in prior year)

A lot of the cash spend in H1 was on Wuxi, Consultanancy and other 'one offs' to get the IND over the line

So not easy to estimate what 'underlying' cash burn is per months, but I will have a go:

Employee Costs

Prior year was £115k per month

With 2 new senior staff for CAR-T lets assume this is now £150k per month

Lease Costs

Now £55k per month

Other Costs

Prior Years Hemo spent £50k per month on other operation activities

Let's be prudent and assume that doubles to £100k with new Lab and bigger headcount

My prudent (worst case) estimate of Hemo ordinary cash burn is therefore £305k per month

This suggests that the £4.3m that Hemo have had since June 2023 would fund 14 mths.

However, my read on the RNS is that Vlad will use the placing to fund additional "resources" to accelerate the CAR-T work and start trials sooner . (assume £200k)

Phase 1 trials will add additional costs - lets assume £500k

So I estimate that Hemo are funded til Nov/Dec 2024.

I expect them to secure and announce a much bigger funding package next year after Ph 1 trials commence

I don't buy this whole trust thing

Vlad is running the company - All he has done is dilute shareholders by 2% off the back of a big rise in the share price. Why did he do this - because he is prudent and clearly decided the company needed additional funds. It is being used to 'accelerate' the timeline to clinical trials. He is still doing all he can to get that CH lifted before we see in the new year.

This for me, builds trust. I'd rather he raised now that waited until it's too late and there's a gun against his head. He has raised with the minimal impact to shareholders - 2% dilution

Pumpky - typical sort of responses I would expect from you. I'm not going to criticise - i was not expecting a placing through Peterhouse. However, until something changes, Peterhouse are Hemo's broker and hence would take the lead.

However we don't know who has bought the shares : We have not seen lots of shares dumped in the last 3 days. The selling looks more like a few private investors.

So it perfectly plausible that the shares have gone to a better type of investor this time around - some or all hat may have been introduced by Hemo or Prevail.

The sort of funding that Prevail are looking at will be much greater than £500k. They will be leading a group of investors with the intent to fund trials.
