Musicmagpie are one of the worlds most successful sellers through amazon and ebay. There own website ranked 20 in 2022 in the much broaoder Consumer electricals category (note that Amazona dn Apple and number 1 and 2) and everything between 3 and 19 are values at considerable multiple to Music Magpie

Oh and dont forget that MMAG have agreements with Apple and are working closely with TikTok. They are not a one trick pony

Tow largest IIs selling a bit of loose change into the market which has suppressed the SP - especially after delivering a strong FY23 resuls - Most people expected Net Debt to be close to £20m (up from £13 1/2 m at half year) byt the company actually reduced net debt to £13m

FACT - RNS is ude within 24hrs with bid period closingtoday

OPINION - I expect it to include a positive statement in reference to the sales process. If a company of BT's size and stature were sniffing around, they wont be short of interested parties

TROLL Number 1 Robswire - I can assure you that plenty of profitable Black Friday sales in mobile. (Speaking as an industry expert). ANd besides, any dditional discounting at BF is an annual event, so it alreasy built into annual performances.

I'll grant you, it does not make logical sense for anyone to be selling MMAG right now. So there must be a rationale for why Cannocord and Schroders have sold a single digit minority part of their holdings. In the case of Schroders, given they were acting for BT, they may have just been disposing shares acquired on behalf of the suitors.

Rathbones have not sold a bean

Founders still retain their 20% holding - (Steve added twice, significantly, since IPO)

Oasis have not sold a bean

Northern entities have not sold a bean

Cannacord still hold over 90% of their huge holding (10% of the business)

Schroders still hold over 90% of their huge holding (10% of the business)

If this share was the dog the trolls want you to think it is why would Rathbones not be selling, why would Oasis not be selling? And why would Cannacord and Schroders dripfeed in a small number of shares knowing ot will drag the price down and impact the valeu of their majority holdings....IT DOES NOT ADD UP DOES IT TROLLS

If these guys wanted out, they would be doing it in much larger chunks - not selling a few shares to show their hand to the market

The more the trolls try to create FUD, the more it convinces me that this share will make me rich. Especially when they ask such great questions that results in doing even more research and thinking.

I know that Apple choose their partners VERY carefully

i know that the Consumer Tech Recommercie market is BOOMING

I know and everyone knows that the MMAG results were really good and had a record Black Friday suggesting their brand and trading proposition is STRONG

I know how much similar business have sold for in receny teasr

I know that MMAG have a valuable collection of commercial agreements with the leaders in the business

I know how many awards MMAG wins and it's repuattion in the UK in an industry where personal relationships are so important

I know the value of a 300 strong Kiosk network (and agreement with Asda) and the growth it will drive

We all know how slick MMGA operation is with most consumer tech assets haveing an 11 day turnaround period between being bought and sold or rented by MMAG

I know the value of MMAG refurbishing operation and how much demand there is for reburshihed phones by many, many companies. Even Apple sell refurbished on their website

I know that the shares are in sticky hands

I know that the company, jsut a few months ago had their £30m bank facility extended by a year. Banks don't do that for compamies that are at risk

I know the board at MMAG have demonstarted their ability to flex their portfolio, manage their financial position and deliver in line iwth expectations

I do not why or how their share price found its way to such levels. I do beleive their is something afoot and I don't think it is bad. I think some of the SP movment will be connected to the planned sale of the business and I expect it to be temporary.

I do expect an update in the next 24 hours

I do believe their are some worries and panicking poor performing trolls who have failed to deliver on their paid objective - theire increased posting today and appearances at the weekend suggest whatever they were trying to do was before the end of the offer window which slams shut at 5pm today

The SP is going down for no logical reason. It is behaving disproportionatly volatile on minimial volumes.

This share is goining under the radar right now and there has never been much bolume in active circulation.

SP has gone down - for me, it must be something to do with a take-over

This company has a strong team, a 17year successful trading record, a 300-strong Kiosk network in the UK, Commercial Agreements with top brands (Apple, ebay, Amazone, TikTok, Backmarket, Klarna, Paypal, Asda)

70% if shares are with PE, IIs and founders. Inexplicably, the share price find itself down at this level . The overwhelming majority of the 70% in the hands of LT reputbale stakeholders have already seen over 90% of the value wiped off their investment. They know that the current SP is not a true reflection of the genuine market value of this company.

Watch this space and let's see what parties ARE willing to pay for MMAG

I agree - I have a feeling the share will perform well this week. News is due very soon and a broader 'Santa Rally' will help give this stock some momentum into the new year.

MMAG are not in trouble, they have delivered a great result and shown they can manage their portfolio to meet its financial targets.

Who knows who will buy them and for how much - but it is not a fire sale.

Some serious players hold a decent number of shares. They would big support a sale at this juncture unless they were comfortable it will provide and acceptable return.

If less than 50p, I imagine the company and its shareholders would prefer to seek new investments and continue on its current path

Looks like the SHORTERS or this perhaps acting on behalf of potential suitor must be getting desperate.

There is nothing in the public domain as to why the company are choosing to sell the business. It is probably influenced by their PE backers.

For this that properly research this stock may follow Steve on LinkedIn. I saw him recently converse with another business owners and he commented that ‘it is important to know when it is time to hand on the baton and let someone else take the reins.’ So perhaps Steve wants to take a back seat for personal reasons, he has been running MM for 18 years.

He has picked the wrong company though - this one is not on the burning platform he or his associates thought (or wanted to portray) it was.

The company has revealed it's results and shown it can manage and deliver its financials

There are no gremlins here and the Business will be sold sooner or later.

The majority of shares are in hyper-sticky hands having held the shares since they were up to £2 a share. They have already seen over 90% of the value wiped off them. They are NOT going to worry if they drop or rise a penny or two now!

They will retain the shares until either they need cash OR the shares reach a value that matches their own target valuation.

For me, it's the latter. I dont need to cash out and will retain these until 50p - which i expect to be met on announcement of the sales - whenever that lands. (my finders are crossed that we get an update on timing on Monday or Tuesday - hopefully good news)

RedOliv - I would normally agree with you. Things are never as bad as they seem and never as good as they seem.

But you have to admit that a £13m mCAP makes the optimistic case far more likely. The business has operated successfuly for almost 20 years. There recent numbers are strong and they have proved they can manage the business.

I would be hugely surprised if they have not been having secret discussions with keen suitors. I'm hoping we find out on Monday or Tuesday.

Unfortunately, before the results were shared, the trolls had a Platform. They no longer have that platform - the results were very good and better than most on here predicted - even me

The Rental contracts were down in H2 - at least this shows you can add up. This has already been address on this forum as the TROLL knows. This was the result of deliberate management action to focus on "Buy Now, Pay Later" as shared in July. The rental proposition stays in their portfolio, but will be reserved for the higher quality prospects. This decision was taken to manage net debt levels and drive EBITDA growth. Perhaps, under new owenrship, there will be an opportunity to grow the rental base if the new owner has deeper pockets and not not need to rely on debt funding to run the proposition.

In the meantime we should expect the Rental Base to stay at current or reduced levels.

2024 numbers will benefit:I expect Revenue and EBITA growth, reduced Net Debt. The revenue from sales of the devices sourced during Black Friday will give them a strong start + they have c£4m guaranteed revenue from their rental base

One poster has cheekily posted the old cliche "You would not want to be out over the weekend'. For once I think this could be very pertinent this week - I would not be surprised to see weekend news coverage of MMAG given their results AND the fact that the 'bid window' closes on Monday. There may well be some speculation or insight into the potential suitors and an indication of the target valuation.
